In this video, Farah and Charbel invite you into their home in Beirut to experience a typical day of eating in Lebanon. With a focus on the Mediterranean diet, this video showcases the delicious, healthy, and culturally significant dishes that make Lebanese cuisine so beloved around the world.
The day starts with a breakfast spread that is both hearty and satisfying. Farah prepares traditional Lebanese coffee, which is a staple in every Lebanese household. The coffee is strong and flavorful, and the perfect accompaniment to the rest of the breakfast spread. For food, Farah prepares labneh, which is a thick and creamy yogurt cheese that is a staple in Middle Eastern cuisine. She also fries halloumi, a popular cheese in Lebanon, and serves it alongside fried eggs and manakeesh za'atar, a traditional flatbread that is topped with a flavorful blend of herbs and spices.
For lunch, Farah prepares kousa bil laban, a dish made with zucchini stuffed with a mixture of rice, ground beef, and herbs. The dish is cooked in a creamy yogurt sauce that is infused with garlic and mint, making it both rich and refreshing.
For dinner, Farah prepares a classic Lebanese feast that is sure to impress. She starts with tabbouleh, a refreshing salad made with parsley, mint, tomatoes, onions, and bulgur wheat. The salad is dressed with a simple blend of lemon juice and olive oil, which brings out the flavors of the fresh ingredients. She also prepares homemade French fries, which are crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. To top it off, she makes stuffed grape leaves, a popular Lebanese appetizer made with tender grape leaves stuffed with a flavorful mixture of rice, onions, and herbs.

The chips surprised me. Especially dipping them into hummus. We usually dip raw veggies or bread in it.
