I knew David Handwohl and his wife Pearl from my shul Young Israel of Parkchester. They were beautiful people and will always be remembered fondly. Shevat 5775

Glory to the brave warriors of Warsaw ghetto! I wish we, Christian Poles, could provide more help. The resistance movement in Poland for both Jews and non-Jews was such an improvised and frantic fight, and for many people it was just about saving the honor.
