Great video man! I've just built a cubic deck and this has really helped me understand the playstyle. There's so much I like about this vid. As others have said, I can tell you put so much work into this and it's really well put together. Also, this may be strange but I really like your voice! You present everything really well and you have such a friendly voice , it was really nice listening to you. Anyways keep up the good work my friend! Time for me to watch your other vids now
Thank you so much! Can't tell you how much I appreciate your comment! Kinda hate listening to my own voice in video but that's how it usually goes😂 So I'm happy you were able to enjoy it! Hope to bring more well presented videos in the future!
Thank you for this video :) I've been a fan of Cubics since this is my most successful deck, and even made a variant with Masked HEROs, since Dark Law and Crimson Nova together on board is a lot of trouble for opponents. For turn 1 plays, I put Transcode Talker in my deck to link climb into a 2800 beatstick with protection from targeting and piercing. But the deck I have is 80% similar to yours.
Been coming back to this video. I just remembered that a pretty sick combo to pull off is to use Alice and Loric, lady of Lament to Get back your banished Copies of Unification! That way you can start triggering effects again! 😂
Man i just love your video, i have like 2 months checking how to play cubics and you bring me some pretty awesome ideas with your profile and your combos lml
In 2018 I played the summoner monk variant with the brilliant fusion engine. Brilliant fusion made going into Saryuja really easy for fixing your hand to get Crimson Nova plus 3 cubics
Usually the cubic stuff I see on UA-cam is not the right card effects and using cards just for another Cubic name. People only ran unification for the name and I was almost screaming at how dumb it was. But in this video I actually learned some combos so I subscribed
Thank you! I shared a lot of the same frustrations when seeing Cubics represented so that was the motivation behind creating a video myself. Hopefully this can put the information out there and help people realize how good Cubics can actually be!
Dark Gray YGO they have so many options: either link, synchro, or XYZ variants. I’m building a deck atm on the link climbing strategy, I haven’t got all the cards yet so I’m still able to test out changes on YGO pro (that’s how I found out that if Buster Gundil or Indiora is attracted to an XYZ monster and the opponent removes it from the field in any way, the XUZ material is treated as sent to the GY by an opponent’s card, which triggers the floating effect). I have a few strategies like that if you want to discuss some in DMs if you want to as I’d also love to have some input on my deck from a Cubic player who actually knows what he’s talking about.
I would love to discuss this all more with you. However, I am a little dubious to the XYZ material triggering. It's not happening on YGOPro for me and I think it may not consider XYZ materials to be monsters in your possession for the effect to trigger. Will look further into this. Otherwise, I cannot recommend enough that you join our Cubic Discord. Link Here: discord.gg/dgUvMU6 We are all quite active and the community is very helpful. It is also where many of us are experimenting with different builds such as a Synchro variant of Cubics that I will be displaying on the channel very soon.
Really helpful video! What is your current Cubics decklist? Also what is your opinion on the following cards in a cubic deck: Gold/Silver gadget Eater of millions Allure of darkness Abominable unchained soul Scapegoat Dinowrestler Pankratrops
Thank you! And those are all potentially useful cards for Cubics that are actually included in a list of cards I have for consideration. My individual thoughts on each are: Gadgets: Nice extra summon for Duza but only work specifically when you open both in hand. If we get more Machine monsters for the main deck it could help. (I've even teched a Cubic Engine in ABCs before) Eater of Millions: A great removal card that if you feel the necessity can be a useful 40th card. We often don't use our entire extra deck in a duel and acts as an extender. I played it in my old Summoner Monk build. Allure: Good with a high Dark count. Want to avoid banishing a Nova in hand however and the Pot cards are a true +1. Unchained Abomination: Great budget Link 4 if you do not have access to Avramax or AccessCode Talker. Scapegoat: Easy Link 4 and can help stall. Might use extra deck slots though to link climb and a little slow for OTK deck. Pankratops: Amazing going 2nd card for the main and side. Only cut from my build to limit Monster Gate hits. Still worthy inclusions though as it's a big beater with removal. No complaints. My current build has not changed much but expect an updated build after the release of the Mega Tins!!! Hope this helps!
I prefer Desires over Extrav because I think the Extra Deck allows you to clear problematic boards and OTK with Crimson Nova that you may not otherwise be able to do with only Crimson Nova. If you were to go the 3x Extrav route I think 1x Unification may actually be correct. It would allow you to still grind and float if necessary but 3x Uni may be overkill if you won't be using the Extra Deck/Link Climbing. I would be curious to see how testing may go for you if you pursue that route! Let me know if it works out well for you and good luck with testing!
@@darkgrayygo1756 I've been testing it a lot recently and I think it's the right way to go... Especially if you're on MG/Reasoning, where you don't want desires banishing Karma's/Dharma's... As for the extra deck, I find myself rarely going into it in the deck, though the main ED option I like in the deck is the rank 4 boat that makes Rank 10 Trains and Liebe
very late comment, but wouldnt at 8:25 be making unicorn into kross, summoning 3 tokens, going into proxy f magician with juri and kross, making first of the dragons with 2 of the tokens, and making a link 2 after tributing remaining token for kuri
That's an awesome combo I hadn't thought of before! Not sure if the extra deck space is worth the investment for First of the Dragons. It's definitely a troublesome monster to deal with even if it's doesn't do much on board. Thinking about teching this into a Magicians' Souls build now as a strong 1st turn play to go into both First of the Dragons and Verte for Dragoon and reliably survive to OTK. Thank you for the comment!!
I have not personally but I do know about it as a super fun spicy tech! The reason I wouldn't play it in a competitive build is that battle traps can have issues sticking on the board long enough to use. That's why I prefer Threatening Roar or Cubic Ascension since you can at least use its GY effect to survive until the next turn. In more casual matches I will definitely be using it though!
Nope, just any time they leave the field which is super nice! It can get complex because Cubics have a lot of text so making sure to know the niche interactions of all the cards will be important but also plays into helping the deck since not very many people know the card effects and might not understand after reading it once over which helps steal games 👍🏼
Absolutely, and I actually prefer that build because it offers so much more consistency and power compared to Summoner Monk and Birdman. They are also both 4 card engines so super easy to swap out.
Dark Gray YGO on summoner monk it says that Once per turn:you can discard 1 spell special summon 1 level 4 monster from your deck.so can activate the effect then get a another summoner to then activate its effect?

10/10 would recommend dark gray for ygo president
Ty man. I struggled alot with risky archtypes. Cubics help alot but again, I hit a wall with em. This video helped alot.

Great job, I'm training against it for locals :)
CRRRRRIMSON NOVAAAAAAAAA
Cubics need a link one monster
True. But there are at least three you can Use.
One is Relinquish Anima. And then you also have Linkuriboh and Salamangreat Almiraj.
Can you update plays please
Did you ever play around with magical hats?

I thought for whatever reason that the unification of cubic lords was by card effect not leaving the field.
Nope, just any time they leave the field which is super nice!
Yes you can, as long as you have the discard fodder.
These short squares on some lemonaid
Yo, I didn’t get to see all the cards can someone tell it. Plz.😭
You should add the Adventure tokens into the deck
