I bought a pair of these pants and a matching jacket for a wedding this summer, and can not express enough, how fine the quality, fit, and fabric is. I got black cross hatched in wool. So fine!

Those trousers look great on you. You have not made a mistake, man, that Bochia fabric is so worth the money, damn I'm jealous

As someone getting into higher waisted trousers, $400 is too steep for me, but the end result looks good.
Casatlantic has fantastic high waisted chinos - so obviously a bit more casual than the trousers you got - but they’re wonderful. I ordered two pairs recently, one in the El Jadida (needed legs tailored) and Safi (went size up on the waist because of the side adjusters and they’re perfect).
For other commenters looking to get into higher waisted trousers, I recommend giving goodwill/thrifting a try. It’s a grind but I recently picked up two high-waisted trousers and just need to slim the legs a bit. Got both for $7 total, likely $100 total after tailoring. 100% wool, vintage pants, one with pleats another flat front.

Dropping gems my friend. Casatlantic! First I’m hearing about these and I’m curious. Also you’re right, thrifting is a fantastic idea. Thanks for watching and commenting.

From England. I can’t say that I know Scott Fraser and so will offer no comment. For my MTM wear, I use a tailor local to me (Justin Block Tailoring) who is Savile Row trained, and he will produce any gar,ent in whatever fabric and style I require. I think he charges around £850 for a 2 piece suit. So, perhaps $400 for a pair of trousers is not exorbitant for MTM. Of course, Justin will supply trousers completely finished and, literally, wearable when opening.
I can say that there are quite a few companies (Chester Barrie is one) who offer ready to wear new clothes of the same era and cuts. There is also an increasing number of sellers of true vintage clothing where, according to the age of the garments, you will be able to select style etc.
Certainly, for those who would like to dress….with some thought and consideration (no, that’s unfair but I can’t help but think so many dress because others dress that way) it is now much easier to find ways to do so.
I would say that I am not personally a fan of linen shirts for any kind of semi formal wear. Cary Grant would never wear because, I am sure, he preferred shirts that look like that have had a relationship with an iron…..

I follow your channel for the options that you highlight in regards to high waisted pants, so i really enjoyed this one. I get the remorse because of the price point, but what's done is done, and now they do look really great imo. At the end of day you paid a premium for the rare old stock materials, and even if you wouldn't do it again, it's a cool piece to have!

This totally sums it up! This wasn’t an easy purchase but like you said, it’s a piece I’m certainly happy to have!

@@expansivegymnast1020 These are awesome pants, but please watch the ending. In Los Angeles, (not a cheap city) I found a tailor that will bespoke pants for less. A good tailor can do whatever style you want. You have options is what I’m saying.

Right. It’s hard to not get protective of the item. And I’ve had times when a tailor ruined something

The trousers look interesting. I’ll see if I can check the out once fly back after my holiday.
Not fan of the slim belt. It’s naturally more suited to slim female waist slightly above/just at the stomach or … you could drink less beer😉.
