They really did port in the asset from DS1, albeit with slight changes. (Maybe a low resolution variant model only to be looked at a distance.) Pantagana, were you unable to check the roof due to ceiling height? I'm telling you, the roof peak and the pathway to Filianore's chamber look similar.
Finally I always wanted to see what happened to those places. Since they really include the whole cathedral, shame that the indoors weren't included. Fuck I'd love a Dark Souls REMAKE that have an anor londo ever more detailed than the Dark Souls III one.
You guys think there will ever be a mod that could recreate Anor Londo in ds3 so it’s like how it was in 1? Like, a restoration type thing? The areas are there. You just can’t get to them.
This reminds me of something I've had in mind for the Souls series in general.... I've always wanted to see what all areas looked like in their prime. All of the buildings, unruined and fresh.... What did Farron Keep look like originally? What did Lothric Castle look like? What about the Forest of Fallen Giants? Carthus Catacombs? Demon Ruins & Izalith? New Londo? Majula? Firelink Shrine (DS1)? Duke's Archives? Oolacile? Iron Keep? Shulva & Dragon Sanctum? Eleum Loyce? Fume Tower? Brightstone Cove? Doors of Pharros? Gutter & Black Gulch? Painted World of Ariamis and Painted World of Ariandel? So many questions.... Alas, I don't have any modding or programming knowledge - certainly not anything remotely capable of even drafting out such a project.... Even still, I can dream, however foolish it may be to dream.
@@khajiitimanus7432 I feel like if it was possible, we would’ve seen someone do it for ds1 by now, but as far as I’m aware, no such mod exists. It’s a shame. I wish it was possible to do something like this
@@khajiitimanus7432 Well, Farron Keep used to be Darkroot Garden and Darkroot Garden used to be Oolacile. So thats the closest thing we will ever have to seeing the past of a map. I would love to see the original ringed city before it became a cursing swamp
Well surely some really passionate moder can take the model export it to a 3D program and recreate the indoor areas using the new model textures, items , etc. But not sure how much easy would be to import that now re modeled anor londo to the actual game. Also I guess that in the best case you could see it but it but the restored parts won't have collision
Honestly a shame we didnt get to access the back areas. I would have loved to see the ruined bedrooms and trophy room. And how hard would it be to add, what, six rooms that you already know the layout of?
It would have been good if they used the same model as in ds1 and didn't remove any pieces of the map. Like in Modern Warfare 2 (2009) there is a spec ops mission on a map from the previous game even tho not the whole map was involved in the actual mission you can do an out-of-bounds glitch and explore the rest of the area and damn they used they same exact map model and didn't even change a thing when I first found that it felt so nostalgic and refreshing wish it was the same for ds3 anyways sorry for the bad English have a nice day guys
This may be unrelated but, is it possible to load both maps of the location of the abyss in the past and the abyss in the current timeline in Dark Souls 1? I am really curious to how close the locations are in regards of how the abyss spread throughout Oolacile.
@Bruh Momenter yes I know, I've seen one video that loads in and out the map of the chasm of the abyss while the camera is in New Londo area. But it's only on a map viewer.
As gods abandoned Anor Londo, their power disappeared and so did half of Anor Londo
I always think it would be cool to leave little secrets out of bounds on purpose for people to discover one day.
Damn I wish the og bonfire and main part of the castle was in 3
@@TheBrandedOne2003 Yes it would be much bigger then much more to explore if all these were filled in
I so wish they allowed you to explore more of the cathedral. You can’t even call it an area.

Really cool, I always wondered what happened to those areas. Also for dark areas maybe use a torch??
I've been spending so much time on this map lately. Can't believe you didn't go behind Gwynevere's chamber. There's a huge surprise back there.
What is it?

Well? What is it!
I'm not sure what you are referring to. I didn't see anything there.

Reminds me with the area after seigmier room in ds1 up with 4 silver Knights on the roof
Because it _is_ that area.
Though, there was never 4 of them on the roof. It was just 3. :p
I am not so disappointed as much as I am, blinded by rage. What a terribly sad end for the city of the gods.
Being able to fly and walk through walls does not make me feel any safer in that room 1:11

Wow they really made all that amazing.great now we know what happened to all those places thanks to you.

wow thats really atmospheric
Thanks I wanted to see if the palace section was still there in the model

Eu sempre me perguntei como estava essa área no ds3, ótimo video
I'm surprised the whole building isn't rendered exactly the way it is from ds1 and we just couldn't get to it. From soft don't care if you can see it.

It's exact
They really butchered this area in 3. Every time I come here it makes me want to play DS 1 instead

Na, because if you bring back all of anor londo you might as well bring back the rest if the OG areas as well.
Because it was butchered intentionally?
