I've had my home salon for 25 years... never looked back. When we built our house we did a room in the front with a separate entrance. I don't like clients tromping through our home.
This makes me feel better about my choice to have one at home. I'm in Maine and I have to put an exterior door in so clients don't walk through the house they can only use my bathroom ❤
Congrats Lauren and thank you for sharing such great content. Lady let me just say, You really did an awesome job! I am finally getting ready to start working as an at Home stylist & your timing couldn't be more perfect! I Just went with my hubby to purchase a shed to move things out of my garage and Start building My Home studio!! Thank you so much, what a cute work space! I feel So inspired by all your videos. I did not know how much work it is to youtube and record and photos with ring lights and posting and its so overwhelming, you make it look like a breeze! lol. Sending love your way. God bless you all.
Hi I love your space your giving me so many ideas to start building my in home salon studio. I’m a mom of 2 almost currently have a 10 month old and another on the way. My question for you is do you have a a babysitter to watch your kids while working or how do you get everything done ?
OMG I LOVE IT!❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥 Congrats Lauren and thank you for sharing. You did an awesome job! I am finally getting ready to start working as a beauty professional again after our convo some years ago and I am so excited!🤗 I can’t wait to share my home salon☺️ Thanks again for being a blessing and an inspiration🙏🏽❤️
Looks great!! 🙂Iwas wondering if you’ve ever done a washed out brassy brown to a Smokey gray? I have ashy brown gray roots and nothing has ever matched! Hopefully you’ll respond thank you!
Hi came across your video while looking up salon designs. Love your salon and the. Colors are perfect! I am a spa owner and I am thinking of adding a salon section I was contemplating the color of your chair/orange or tan can’t really makes up my mind. My space is not very big. I believe around 800sqf. I was very happy to see how all the colors I was think of came together beautifully. Thank you and your super cute with your babies. Keep up the good work. Wish I could build from my home, but my area is not zoned 😢
I love everything about your home salon! I have one and I’m having the hardest time bringing the idea to life. Thank you for going throughout with so much detail. I may recreate it! 🎉😊❤
I absolutely enjoyed your video. Very informative and your style is on point. I’m in Texas. TDLR is a bit strict. I have to find out if I can do this to my detached garage, I have 3 small kids and this would be perfect for my lifestyle.
Hey! New subbie here. I absolutely love your content. Quick question, at the moment I’m working in a studio (suite) and was wondering if you recommend I’m fully booked before getting my own small salon? And also what do you think would be a good way to market without social media? Currently on a social media detox and I honestly don’t ever want to get back on there 😩
I don’t wanna get back on as well it’s to overwhelming honestly my idea is to get back out passing flyers or you could find models for more traffic but I’ve been strongly leaning towards getting out mingling with people . 😩
Social media is the big thing, I look at your work, and you are doing a great job. Your not posting a lot of your work. You can go live while you are working. Just don’t give up ⬆️ be consistent, and you will see the growth, just a little encouragement ❤🙏🏾🙏🏾
Love your salon. I am also in North Idaho. Can you tell me where I need to go for Kootenai County? My neighborhood is in a county "pocket" in the city. Thank you in advance.
I also have a mini home salon, but I no longer take clients, just cut family and don't like to cut hair in my kitchen. My mini salon is just a vanity and chair in one of the grandkids rooms but I am getting ready to move my art studio and home office upstairs into the largest room in my house 😊. I hope to fit my station into the room as well
Your salon is so cute! I’m a Californian hairstylist that moved to Idaho as well thinking of doing a home salon… is your shampoo bowl connected to plumbing?
Hey girl hey!!! How tall is your station whAt height legs did you use?? I’m so conflicted on my but her block table what height to use??? Thanks! It’s looks amazing
I have a question. How you get water in this room for your sink? 🙂 i start to work at home, but i don’t now how to wash clients hairs. That is reason why I only cut hairs not colouring.
Looks awesome!!Best wishes for your future. 💐If you have any clients interested in selling their hair instead of donating it, I buy hair to make extensions for ladies with hair loss.
Would love to know more about how you did the plumbing
Your timing couldn't be more perfect! I'm looking to buy a house soon with the dream of building a studio!! Thank you so much, what a cute work space!
Oh that’s awesome!! Thank you so much!
YOU have a better salon set-up than most stand-alone location. Great job!

Hi Lucy, I know you didn’t ask me but I think working and having/worrying about kids around is a no no. Hope it helps! ;)

Love it trying to start a home salon
But is it up to state boards standards? You didn’t need a separate entrance or separate bathroom?

Gorgeous!!
I love the space.
Is your shampoo bowl part of the plumbing, or does it have refillable reservoirs as part of it?
It is plumbed !
Omg serious inspiration ♥️

In our house we have a crawl space so the Plummer ran the water under the floor from the bathroom right next to this room 😊
@@LaurenFrancesHair thank you
Do you get anxiety inviting different clients into your home? How do you screen your clients
Love it 😍
Wow!
My daughters name is Lauren and mine is Frances. 😊
No way!! That’s so cool!
Draped fabric, on the ceiling, may help
So bummed went down to the city to get permit but they said house is not zoned😔 is there a way around this?
Dang I am not sure because every city is different.
Cute baby boy how old is he now
Looks awesome!!Best wishes for your future. 💐If you have any clients interested in selling their hair instead of donating it, I buy hair to make extensions for ladies with hair loss.

Been growing out my gray for about a year and a half along with mom😊
Do you have a bathroom in the space?
I have a connected bathroom 😊
❤❤❤❤❤
I love you chair how tall are you all my chairs are never low enough
do you need any license to have home salon? is it recently legalize?
Cosmetology license and possibly a business or establishment license depending on your city.
