Awesome Video really love the website too, Do you guys think you can do a video on the Arri Alexa XT Plus? I know its not exactly a new camera but there are zero overview videos like you guys do them.
Awesome !!!! Do you also have a video reviewing the Alexa Amira ? Thanks for this very complete demo.

What's the wireless range on the controller?
nice
For some reason I keep thinking "Man, that's pne of the most likeable guys I've ever seen one UA-cam." :D
He is cute that is why.
Silly question, how does the unit know the lens info? I have Sigma CINE PL mount glass with no digital connector for lens info.
You can create a lens profile just like he mentioned. Then save and transfer to the camera.
I'm trying to figure out how my focus puller can use this well while I'm using a stabilizer and doing intricate movements. Can't use a wireless monitor, won't be in range of a wi-fi signal. I guess marks and measurements are my best bet. (Not filming on a set.)
I like your video. Well presented.
I would suggest using marks if your 1st AC will not have access to a wireless monitor. If possible you can shoot at a higher f-stop to give him/her more room. Rehearsals will help as well.
@@DuyNguyen-bh1of Thanks. I guess it will depend on the AC how easily we can accommodate for it.
Do you rent for outside LA? Thanks!
We do on occasion, please contact us through our website for any questions on rentals. Thanks
can you attach a SmallHD 702 to the WCU-4?
I have. used it that way though it was already setup for me. but yes you can. the set up I've seen is a bit clunky not really meant to just hang for hands free option, but yes it can be set up.
Yes, you can. There's a monitor bracket for it, also a stand for the WCU.

this is a great tool. but does anyone think eventually autofocus in cinema cameras is the future? already in some canon and sonys we can tap a face or object and get very accurate autofocus and tracking focus. seems like this will make life a lot easier for dps and camera ops.
There's a reason autofocus is only on those "cheaper" cameras. They're made for a very, very small crew where you wouldn't necessarily have someone to pull focus. On these type of cameras, there aren't autofocus, and there probably never will be, cause they're used on sets with a bigger crew, where accurate focus tracking is critical. And autofocus will never be able to know exactly what you want to focus on...
Lukas Murmann hmm, ive heard experienced people say the autofocus is better than the focus they could pull. the canon 1dx markii is said to be very good.
Lukas Murmann i think the tracking will eventually be able to focus on any object in the scene you choose by tapping on a touch screen and will be able to keep that in focus
Autofocus has a very difficult time reading your mind about what you want in focus and how that focus should change during the shot. Autofocus only gets in the way in a high-end production
thats why tap-to-focus is so cool. video autofocus has and will evolve tremendously from a cheap gimmick to a useful cinema tool. maybe not for every shot, but for a lot of them, especially on lower end productions when you cant afford a focus puller
I don't rent Panavision, I'm left with no money
Being forced to learn this thing for our crane camera. I can’t stand this thing. Not user friendly, stiff menus, worthless.
That is a rather harsh opinion for probably the best hand unit in the game right now.
@@sullivan.murray3123 It really depends on what you like and what you're used to. But it's true, if you're using ARRI, it's very convenient.
