I've been cutting with these for a week now and they are amazing. I was using the old low pros but this new battery system is dope. You only have to buy one clipper and one trimmer and a few extra batteries. It beats having to buy multiple machines. It's lighter weight. It's more powerful. That new blade is amazing. And you can get through most of the day with just one battery.

@brandonkunkle3860 did you need a break in time with your blade? I just got mine about 2 weeks ago. I zero gapped it and did 2 cuts on myself and I feel like it isn’t hitting for me for some reason.

@@Edblessm they’re pretty good but the only thing I don’t like is how the clipper blade gets hella overheated after a while, it gets hella hot. I cut my own hair and I could feel the hotness on my skin kinda burned lowkey but that’s only after using it for like an hour plus
@@damiandiaz7346 not too worried about overhearing personally. I use 2 clippers in rotation usually for the cooldown and looking for something that doesn’t lose power or starts pulling hair after 1-2 months usage. My Ergo X started pulling after about 2 months. Highly don’t recommend

Any of the Babyliss double foils have always been my go to, the new fx one gold double foil is what I’ve been using
I have the black fx ones and the body is so big I can’t do quick lever play anymore, like I have to adjust my hand before I can flick the lever closed or opened. Is the lopro like this or can you easily reach the lever in a quick motion like the Rebel or smaller clippers? Cause I might sell the black fx and grab another lopro…

Yo Sean just copped these. I like them so far but because they open longer compared to my magic clips, I kinda get lost in how I usually fade. From the No guard close to open, when your blending, are you just using the 1,2,and 3 notch to blend into the fully open?

I do my same steps as any other clipper it just has a little more range on the lever
Hey Sean, great video! But I got a question. Which clipper are the overall better clipper. These or the jrl onyx clipper? Need help deciding which one to get
The jrl’s are nice but I can’t get over the shape. This is your standard clipper shape so definitely more up my alley
I use the old lopro and while they are a machine that does feel great in the hand and the motor is powerful, it is pretty finicky when it comes to any sort of mod. They use a difft cam follower than the other fx as well as a difft spring, good luck finding parts for the old lo pros. Babyliss makes it very difficult to repair their clippers or swap blades. The cam followers are temperamental with other blades and even with the wedge blade on there you have to be dialed exactly on point to the mm for a horizontal fit that won’t cause even the babyliss guards to absolutely scream. My lo pros as well as a few other barbers I know have had issues with the old lo pros getting very loud over time. I’ve been told this is the graphite blades biggest drawback. The trimmers also start to get quite loud after heavy use. Are any of these areas improved?
I don’t do mods anymore. Everytime I messed with anything it started acting up. Using these as is and they’re the best set I’ve used

Are there any guards available for these new models? The trimmer guard set offered by babyliss only shows the old model numbers for compatibility but aren't they using the same blade?

I have the clipper coming. Debating the trimmer. Love the idea of a one battery system….. but currently LOVE my Saber trimmer. How do you think this trimmer compares to the Saber
The saber definitely hits harder but these are a nice combo
I think I’ll just buy the blade and swap it onto my snap fx. Has two batteries already and they’ve not failed me after a year. Atm i dont see the use in buying another different ecosystem if babyliss thinks its fine to move on from it after 1 gen. No doubt that these are fire but maybe not another 200 dollars fire
That’s not a bad idea. This motor is totally new and improved though and Soooooo good

Just ordered a pair . Do you have to change your fading system up at all and Is it difficult getting used to the stretch lever since most clippers that everybody started with doesn’t open up as much ? Trying to see the benefits to having a new lever system. And also do wahl premium guards fit?
I fade exactly the same. Most of my recent videos I’m using these and you can see my process

I used the boosted for a long time but this is a giant step up in quality
Does the 5 position lever extend as much on these as the Lo pro influencer edition? That was a huge win…. Influencers extended 4.2mm per the box. I’m assuming that has not changed but wanted to check with you.

Man.. I bought these and I bought the saber clippers at the same time. I was planning on selling one after I decided which one I like more and I’m not sure which one I like better, honestly. I did half a head with each on all my cuts today and I honestly am undecided. Either the lopro is over rated or the saber is underrated 😂
They’re both super good and cut slightly different. Just keep em both 🤷🏻♂️

Hey Sean. From a left hander here. It looks like the lever has a little higher travel. Any idea if that would get in the way and would keep getting nudged down used by a lefty. Always used right handed clippers before because that's all that's really ever been out so not a problem with them just that LoPro FX1 looks like it sits up a little higher than usual. I got the Cyborg a few weeks ago thinking that was going to be great to have the lever on the other side. I guess though not having it there all these years it just seems odd. So just not feeling the Cyborgs all that well just yet. Thanks in advance.
I’m not sure never thought of that. And I’ve heard that about the cyborgs. Lefties are used to the other lever so not necessarily helpful to swap it out
Hi mate I want to upgrade my trimmers I have the tpob ghost trimmer should I go for the low pro fx or the babyliss pro or the andis slimline li it’s just for trimming and lining up my beard

I just bought the limited edition blue chrome fx collection. Which is the better one compared to these low pro? Or is it one of those things their both good in their own ways so not really is better than the other?
Yeah both are good. Just small differences and the batteries vs a charging cord

These are much higher quality than the ergos. They’re not bad though
Are these the same as the LoPro Special Edition Influencer? Right now, both the influencer trimmer and clippers are on sale as a bundle for only $200 which is way cheaper than if you were to buy them separately.
They’re not the same but close. These have the removable batteries
Did you decide to leave the MIM blade on there or did you eventually swap it for a taper blade?
No MIM is on everything I’m using these days. It’s amazing
I got the fx one low pros and had an issue they can’t be zero gapped due to the cutting blade not moving straight across , the blade seems to move in a wedge format . Is that a common issue with these ? I had to buy another pair to compare and it was the same thing
Mine are close but I don’t zero anything so I didn’t notice a problem

Really just depends on which shape you prefer. I love both
As far as performance how do they compared to the original LoPro’s and the influencer LoPro’s besides battery? Do they cut any different any better?
Definitely better. Half of it may be the blade but they’re amazing
@@Seancutshair I’ve been wanting to by another Lo Pro and I’ve seen barbers replacing the original blade with the Stylecraft Faper and they say it’s better.
Does the gold fx one have the stretch lever too? Or just the lo pro?
All the fx ones have the stretch lever
Is it just me or do they get warm quick? I find myself having to use cool care half way through to cool the blade down.

Hey man this is compelety unrelated to the actual video but, I was given some old wahl clippers from my uncle that has rusty blades, seems like some walmart ones their corded and actually seem pretty powerful, you think if I swap the blade it could be decent?If so what blade would you reccomend? Looking for the model name rn. Ok their called wahl fade cuts, the red and silver model.
If they seem to run ok that would probably work. I always used the Wahl 1006 taper blade

How do these trimmers stack up to the Saber? Thats what I use now and I just recently had to replace the blade and can’t seem to get that thing to cut right for the life of me 😮💨

If charge station is broken i will not be able to use the clipper or charge in some other way.. what do you think Sean?
I guess not, but you would get a charging station with each the clipper and trimmer so you’d have a backup

Not necessarily lower quality just a different style clipper. Both are good

Got an issue with my trimmer, the blade is making so much noise when open. I have change the spring and the plastic guard but still cant make the sounds go down. The oil used is the babyliss so i am a bit lost anyone got a clue with this kind of issue ?

Similar, heavier, more power, and quieter. This blade is very similar to the faper that’s why I’m loving it

what would you say is better this lo pro fx uno trimmer or the boost+ influencer edition? The loscuts edition to be exact lol not even to sure if its the boost+ or if its just the skeleton fx kinda like the og gold one just with a runner grip but i have a buddy letting go of both for pretty cheap just don’t know which one to invest in. Im barely starting off and am really indecisive between the both lol & i value your feedback along with other feedback in general. Leaning towards the lowpro due to all the new features and just how unique it is from the old model. never had either so im just indecisive between the two
Yeah they cut very similar. If you don’t need the battery of the fx one then the boost is solid. One of the best most well rounded trimmers. Can’t go wrong with the lo pro though

Awesome video. One last question…. Seems to me the new JRL Onyx and the Lo Pro FX1 may be the top new clippers(best in class). I know you have reviewed both. One thing I like about the newer Lo pros is how open the lever distance goes (I think they quite 4.2mm). Do you feel like the JRL’s also have a larger span as well or not? I have not seen as much info on that in regards to the JRL Onyx.
Jrls are longer but probably close. Both are sick but I like the shape of the lo pro so much better!
These don't seem to work with the Babyliss pro guards, they rattle and get super loud regardless of how I adjust the metal clip. Have you noticed that?
No I use Babyliss premiums with no issue. Only thing I had happen was the blade wasn’t centered and hit the guard on one side. Double check that and you should be good!
@@Seancutshairhey Sean I’ve having this issue with both Wahl premium guards and Babyliss guards when I close the lever the blade sounds loud? The moving cutting blade is movable so easily is that possible with other clippers?

lo pro are much more quality but the rebels are solid I used them for a bit.

Anyone have a problem with the charger not working? Only used them once and now the batteries aren’t lighting up at all when I put them on the charger.

@@Seancutshair Got mine to work again. Another barber had shoved a battery in the wrong way and I just needed to pull one of the connections out a lil bit for it to make contact.
I hate the long blade not use to a longer blade definitely will be changing it once it gets dull

I personally like these better but the jrls are right there with them
Feel in the hand Babyliss , fading both are great JRL is quieter which I really love and the clicks on them are so satisfying. Battery life JRL 4-5 hours
Babyliss 2.5-3 hrs. JRL blade almost never gets hot even after 2-3 cuts back to back
