@@maciejmaecki3823 Those so called "unforced" errors are usually not so unforced. Iga was defending very good today and in Coco heads, she realised she needs to play extra aggressive to win points, therefore the amount of errors increased.

@@maciejmaecki3823 Well, I agree with you that defensive style is not that interesting to watch. I would also prefer to see offensive tennis with various shots. But on the other hand, in some matches this defensive style is just smarter to use, even just to save some energy.
What I like the most about Swiatek is her high tennis IQ. Well done young lady, this was a brilliant performance.
The commentary wanted Coco. Tennis fans are just in awe of Iga and want to see more.

Well she could say this about the 2nd round match with Osaka, but this one? Iga didn’t even have to risk more and hit more winners, she was just consistently and aggresively hitting to force Coco’s errors. I understand they cheer for their player, but saying this is ridicolous. Iga won most of the matches with Coco, so why would she ba afraid. Now the situation is changing because Gauff got better, but still I don’t see Iga in form loosing with Coco
Luckily I watched the live broadcast, because from this shortcut it looks like Coco was winning... and in reality, Coco was frustrated, arguing with the judge, and almost burst into tears

I found it funny that commentators are disappointed. They have no choice. They can only look how their favorites get their asses kicked.
They end the match saying that "nobody can stop Iga". I mean, I reckon Iga is the clear favourite, but don't write off Paolini so easily because she's not american nor as famous as Gauff.
The good match after all. I kept my fingers crosses for Iga. They support Coco because it is David and Goliat fight and any human being is just for David, I guess. That is just normal human behaviour.

Not the first time we've seen Evert like this. She caped *hard* for Bouchard before the Wimbledon final. She completely dismissed Kvitova right before she annihilated Bouchard, it legitimately seemed like she'd never seen her play.

The highlights suggest that Coco has won the match😀 Please we don't want to watch biased highlights and listen to biased American commentators favouring and praising other American players
The highlights, as the title suggests, show highlights of the game, that is, the best points. Since Coco hit 27 winners and Iga only 10, naturally they will show more points won by Coco. In order to do a representative recap of the game they would have to rename the video from 'highlights' to simply "game recap" and show many of the 39 unforced errors that Coco has made, which really were crucial for the end result.

@@x-es3te Highlights means best points. Don't have to end with a winner, but the play has to be at least somewhat exciting and show some quality tennis. Very rarely they show unforced errors in the highlight reels (unless it's a set point or match point).
You can always watch non-american channel if you have problem with the commentators.
Dear Eurosport, you should hire slightly more unbiased commentators. It is quite sad to hear from the commentary the preference to Gauff. I find it slightly unprofessional.

Coco hit 27 winners in this game and Iga only 10. That's why the "highlight" reel is so biased in favor of Gauff. I find this mistreatment of Iga very annoying. It’s not the first time and not the first tournament that the material from her matches is cut in such way, that you get the impression as f the game was close or someone else was winning it. Shame on the people who are doing this. Don’t think that we don’t notice these things!

I notice that the coverage is biased. In the first set, Sviatek had three times as much play as her opponent, yet the same number of winners were shown for both players. In the second set, it was more balanced, but there was still a slight bias in favor of the loser. This could raise suspicions of manipulative reporting.
The commentary is literally like USA vs Enemy of freedom...

I agree plus imho that 2nd round thriller with Naomi Osaka Iga survived paradoxically helped her to strengthen and getting more 'loose' in her game, trust herself more. She looks confident, not cocky, putting her effort and skill out there. And honestly, can't understand 'boring clay season' comments too - since when dominance is banned? Or only Djokovic can do it, or any other WTA player than Iga?

Watching this shortcut, you get the impression that Coco won, but she lost miserably.
So happy to see Iga advance to another final. I have to look at the stats, but I think she served better in the last three rounds. Today was a bit erratic, but still, she was broken only once (I think I remember right) and was able to close in two sets. You just know whoever she plays against in the final, she is going to be ready. All Iga fans, sit back and enjoy what she will conjure on Saturday !
She played pretty badly today compared to her last 2 matches, a lot of unforced errors but compared to Coco she wasn't that bad. If Iga played as precise as against Voundrusova we would probably have a bakary today.
Guys, I am from Bulgaria, and we have one really good tennis player overall - Grigor Dimitrov, and we are a smaller nation overall than the US, hence, less probability for sportsman/women to perform at any event - yet, even our commentators aren’t as biased as what we heard here. Thats embarrassing.

So biased highlights, you are forgetting that Guaff in 2nd set from 3:1 get to 3:5 and Swiatek was close to win this match in very dominant way by winning last 5 games. It wasn't close game as highlights suggest.

I’m from Poland and polish commentators always give credit to opponents if they are playing good (for example Osaka in second round), if they are playing poorly they admit it and don’t talk how extremely good was Świątek, when Iga plays bad they also admit it, but maybe it’s about the culture, people in Poland are more honest and I will say they don’t smile if it’s sucks

Good ol' Iga! Executed the game plan (almost) to perfection, playing onto the Gauff forehand relentlessly in that first set knowing she was guaranteed errors from that huge swing. I expected Gauff to raise her game but she was always fighting an uphill battle. Disappointing to see her get so petulant and emotional, she needs to sort that out in her game or she'll have a few more defeats at the hands of the others.
Oh, and such appalling bias from Eurosport's commentary team, especially Chris Evert. This is happening more and more in tennis coverage.
Eurosport should be ashamed of itself for hiring someone who doesn't even resemble a commentator, an utter disgrace for fans all over the world, sadly for you lot a much better player has won. Do boju Iga !!! Finał jest twój.

After watching the highlights I do not understand what is the fuss about "biased commentators" They are rooting for Coco but give the credit to good points of both players in profesional way. I saw the whole match and the choice of the highlights is not bad. Iga won the first set because she let Coco win it for her with too many errors. Iga knew that Coco would be under pressure and that she must be aggressive. Probably the plan A for Iga was to let Coco make errors and play with bigger margin. This tactic was good in firs set. In the second Coco got better so Iga switched to more pressure and more risk when she was 1:3 down. It was very visible that the power and accuracy went on higher level and then she won 4 gems in the row. Then again she wanted Coco to win the match for her but Coco did not follow the pattern from the first set so Iga had to serve to win the match. Coco made big progress from last year, if she will have more consistency in her first serve and forehand she will be very dangerous to any player in the tour, but I hope Iga will find the way to win anyway, as I always root for Iga.
Coco is so arrogant, selfish and demanding. What a drama queen and fuss she is. Iga on the contrary, she is calm, concentrated, strong and focused on a goal. Maybe Coco should hire a psychologist. Iga has one, and the benefits of the service are visible.
