I've watched Cyx for years, on both youtube and twitch. I think he's the perfect overwatch player, unironically. He is ridiculously good at the game, all while also being silly when he wants to be silly, without straight up throwing for content. He is also very rarely toxic, never gives up before the match is over, and is just genuinely fun to watch.

It requires a lot of skill to do a hook like that, I've been able to do a few of these from watching a lot of Cyx and one tricking hog. If you re-watch the clip, you'll see the slight shift to the left, that actually helps the enemy hog get past that specific barrier (the wall) and move him to the left, when he returns looking straight, after the hog is past the barrier, the hook's original direction returns. So you're able to snap someone into buildings. It's not easy to do but incredibly satisfying if you get it right.
Dude, almost every other clip the hog changes. From 550 hp, to 700, top 800, to trap, to no trap, to insane healing, to shitty healing... xDDDD
One thing is consistent tho... Cyx is insane. He's by far my favorite OW streamer. The guy is the entire package. Plays a really fun character (yeah, I love hog, most played tank since OW1), he's competitive, while also being enterteining, pretty chill most of the time, rarely is toxic without reason, and he always tries his best.
Love his content and his gameplay.
The first clip the face cam is everything, he checks the hook went into the trap and as soon as he whole hogs he edges closer and closer to the screen with a sinister look on his face, watching the sigmas demise

@@beepboopbeepp I think they wanted to had more depth to the hero by giving him the trap which is good imo but then he had no more cd slot available to use the right since right click is for heal now. I'm not sure but I think it was intended to be easier for new players to get used to it. Correct me if I'm wrong.
What I find ironic is that the hero had more depth when he didn't have the trap
there was a bug that some players could abuse where at the perfect distance, right click passed through barriers. the devs couldnt find a solution, so they just removed it

its insane what cyx is doing on road over the last years. If he is meta or not he plays him in the TOP 10 WORLD. logical seen is the skill cap of road very low (no mobility, no support) and somehow he plays him on a level no other can. its not only about the hooks, he reads the game better than most top tier players.

CYX is the reason I switched from support to tank main, specifically Roadhog. Climbed from Silver to Gold 5, and very close to hitting plat 4 for the first time. Learned all the hook jukes and positioning from him. Absolutely the best streamer for the game, mainstream (Flats, Jay3) just make the game look bad and are proof if you’re a streamer you’ll get carried. Cyx cooks in content and gameplay. Glad he’s getting recognition

I mean I’m lacking with pro techs and all but yeah it looks like it’s done so that a hooked enemy is moved in a certain way so they aren’t colliding with objects (like you said) or to put them behind him to bodyblock.
Yeah that‘s exactly it. Think of it as hooking around objects, because you can‘t hook them through objects. The hooks would just break otherwise

High sensitivity. And I think they recently added more options to controller sensitivity and dead zones. But honestly the flicks are not as important as just knowing where to aim the hook.
Being a number 1 Sombra, Hog, Symmetra, Brig, Pharah, Zen, Moira, Sojourn, Orisa, Mercy, Doom and Genji is absolutely embarrassing.
But good work regardless getting to that point, it’s not as easy task (Except Sombra)

Can someone explain to me how he's hooking them around normally impossible corners? If I try those hooks they either get stuck on the wall, or my hook breaks
If you put on slow motion you can see hes doing a huge right-left, that's why he can hook people through some walls
to do this you have to flick left and then flick right to where you want your enemy to be at the end. it creates this angle then. I do it all the time. Just Flick it left and then flick right to where you want, can also be done while flicking right and then left

He is really one of the greatest Hog! But in opinion I think Blackswords is the best hog. He got Rank 1 as a solo player, otp hog with 92 games in the worst meta against hog and , then everyone said he is win-trading. And I would like to mention Needblood too. Cyx the king of NA.

@@tjf73 I spoke about prime Blacksword is better than anybody because he got top1 otp hog in the worst meta, just like the other players like Zbra,Chazm,Yznsa. They are really play great with their main and do something can’t be done by anyone else.. I would like to inform you that.. Blacksword got 4.7 SR with Hog in OW1. And keep being on the top players in OW2 too. Then keep that in your mind he managed to get all of these in EU server, which is EU server harder than NA of course. Both are great but I mentioned the top Hog players “in my opinion”.

bro hit top 10 on THREE accounts maining hog like pfffft. as a console hog you literally cannot flick like that but watching him and learning when to engage/disengage pushed me from gold to high masters peak. fucking hate all the ximmers on here but damn its satisfying to get this high just from watching cyx.
You can still do the flick on console you just need a higher sensitivity. I've only tried it in practice range so I'm not sure how consistent it would actually be in a match situation
