  • A random lot of low voltage light bulbs vs 230v, ranging from 6 - 20v. The last bulb tripped off the 32amp circuit breaker for the ring circuit!

I don't know why I clicked, I don't know why I watched, but I enjoyed every single second of this.

Funny how some of them explode due to the thermal shock wave. What would happen if you plugged neon lamps and fluorescent tubes into the mains with no ballast?

    Photonicinduction liked that

0:58 lol I did that once with a bulb like that, popping low power bulbs with high power is fun and I once blew up some Christmas light bulbs like the one in this clip

Reminds me of the photonicinduction “light bulbs gone”

i once had the bad idea of letting 230V on a 10k 1/4W resistor, in like half of a second it smoked end EXPLODED LOL... the actual bad idea was that i was filming it (not posted afterwise) and instinctively i got near the resistor to film it properly, i was sure it would have been gone in smoke but NOT EXPLODING... it did... i got scared LOL... what a Sir Dumass

I had 500 volts from a charged capacitor pass through a regular LED one time during an experiment which was not really intended but the LED, well it was only one leg left of it and the rest of it literally vaporized with a loud bang

Dear can I put the 230v 1100 watts heater elliment series with 60w 12 volt bulb each to gather, what I trying I need a bulb indicator for that heater elliment warm working or not burnout or not at the working time.

@@gnccreations277 that should 80% probably work... it depends on the type of heater, if it becomes red hot it would probably not work, because when starting, the heater has a lower resistance that increases with temperature, and draws 1100W only when red hot, when started it draws way more current and it will pop the light bulb, you can give it a try, just stay away from the light bulb when applying power the first time

@@gnccreations277 it is easier to salvage a neon bulb from some old appliance and use together with the load. they usually sit in many old things that gets thrown away :)

What happened to the 20V one? Did it cause a dead short?

Either that, but it most likely drew a large amount of current, (which would also draw excess current) causing the MCB to trip off.

Facevo la stessa cosa quando ero piccolo, prendevo le luci di natale e le provavo una ad una direttamente sulla 230v
