Google is one of the biggest companies in the world with a market capitalization of nearly $2 trillion. However, most people aren't able to name the founders of Google Larry Page and Sergey Brin. This makes as Larry Page and Sergey Brin basically fell off the face of the planet after they stepped down in 2015 from running Google. This is in stark contrast to most tech billionaires who maintain a significant social presence even after stepping down from their respective companies. Since they stepped down, we've only seen a handful of public appearances, and the founders have even relinquished control of the parent company Alphabet in 2019. This video explains what happened to Larry Page and Sergey Brin since they stepped down and what they're working on today.

Larry Page and Sergey Brin never wanted to serve ads as a means of generating revenue. But in the end, they got no option. Google literally has changed the ad industry and how we view ads.

      Thus proving advertising is evil.
The real question is how much is necessary (entropy is a b****).
The difference between poison and medicine is often the dosage.

@@jtjames79 honestly I don't think "advertisement" as a general thing is evil. It's all in how it's done. Lets say things weren't advertised, and you had to hear of things word of mouth etc
wouldn't that mean that any brands with widespread recognition, would be harder to replace with a better, but less well known product?

What they’ve created is already enough to change the world for the better for decades to come. Providing a mass adopted search engine with multiple sub markets included it in such as advertisement, publishing, cloud computing, storage etc has given soo many people in third world countries/developing countries the opportunity to offer their services to a global market so I’m sure they know the merit they’ve contributed:)

Honestly they shouldn't return to Google, to do innovation you need money, and Google has done great job of multiplying their money, they should start other ventures which then can focus upon innovation funded by Google. For good or bad google changed the world. Mad respect for this guys, but they have brains and resources, I wish they implore more on innovation.

Larry Page was riding out the Coronavirus in Fiji when in January or February 2021 his son contracted the Coronavirus. Larry got special Government dispensation for his son to be airlifted to Hospital in New Zealand. Larry was permitted to accompany his son but he had to quarantine for the first two weeks while his son was taken directly to Hospital for treatment. His son apparently recovered and both have since left NZ but it is not known when... this story only broke about a week ago. Questions were raised here in NZ about whether Larry got inappropriate “special treatment” because of his billionaire status. There was also some speculation that he was in fact a NZ citizen. It turns out he has “Residency” under a special category for investors where they must commit to investing a sum ($30 million I think) into the New Zealand economy. Larry may even have invested in Rocketlab which was founded here in NZ...
