  • A ride with the BMW K1600GT over the entire Grobglockner high Alpine road including stops on the Kaiser-Franz-Josefs-Hohe and the Edelweißspitze.
This famous toll road was built between 1930 and 1935 and today connects the Austrian states of Salzburg and Carinthia. It was the first road to allow a motorized crossing of the Alps.
Today the road mainly serves as a panoramic road for motorists, motorcyclists, cyclists and mountain bikers. The mountain road is 48 km long and runs from Bruck in the Salzachtal over the Hochtor to Heiligenblut to the highest mountain in Austria, the Großglockner (3,798 m). The road contains about 36 bends and rises to about 2,504 m. Along the road there are various panoramic platforms, playgrounds and information points. The Großglockner High Alpine Road is accessible from the beginning of May to the end of October.
The video was shot entirely in 4K from different camera angles on the bike.
