Clint Baker as always in fine form on trumpet, rockin' version of this old favorite. Carl Sonny Leyland provides a great vocal as well as piano, Chloe was great as always but we want More of her, alla time! Thanks swingyoucats for posting.
Carl, I love your KCSM show and this is a terrific swinging group. A tune I had not heard before. Thank you for the great music. Also Clint, we love you buddy, keep it going!
Who says Jazz can't be fun? Lovely! Lennie Cuje
Brawo dla pianisty za vokal.Wszyscy fantastyczni.
Thanks for the history .
I played this tune for years around New Orleans in the late 50's, 60's and early 70's. I think Lloyd Price made it popular at that time period and it was called Stagger Lee. Ha ha ha
I’ve seen the title written as Stagger Lee, Stagolee, Stackolee, Stacker Lee, etc.
Terrific fun, a real pleasure
delightful
A real rollicking rendition.
Can we learn more about Chloe and her wonderful playing??? Where's she from? Where she learned to play? Is she
One could spend days are you tube watching her videos. She is from San Diego where she grew up and played jazz gigs at an early age. Moved to Chicago for a while, toured internationally with Pokey LaFarge, and the Postmodern Jukebox, and moved to New Orleans where she was initiated into the culture by dueling with James Evans - "Bye Bye Blues" ua-cam.com/video/rTFXYDyBRr4/v-deo.html
