Point taken. What if, assuming that theory about life cycles is true and at the end of the day there will be only Ethan left, Sarah would kill Ethan, maybe that would break the cycle.
I think that if she would've listened, maybe they would've gone home, maybe they'd just die and be reborn in a new body "back home," but they would've restarted the cycle by killing a child, and been reincarnated back into Fromville
@@sayhmm the problem is there are are multiple supernatural entities that seem to have differing objectives. It is strongly implied there are rules but we and the townies don’t if that is true and if so, what those rules are. It’s like learning to play poker while in a high stakes game with a poker champion that just wants your money. And it’s also possible there are no rules being enforced by some game master. Maybe we will find every cycle is powered by 1 person in the town, and if they die then the town fades away and everyone is back where they entered the town originally. There are still too many pieces of the puzzle missing but it’s fun to work through the possibilities. The gaps in the mythology are so big right now, the creators could have one ending in mind and switch to a different ending and we would never know. Lots of wiggle room for the writers. 🤣
I thought about the Ethan going to the bathroom scene too! Like...what was that? Was it just Jim pretending to be a good father for a moment by waiting for him!? 🤔🙃😅
What I found weird about that scene was that it literally cut from Boyd and Donna speaking outside to Jim talking to Ethan and putting on his coat in the diner. I am not sure why that moment was important.
The was just Jimbo talking to Ethan so there's nothing unusual. It's called filler. This episode is another nothing 🍔 with relationship drama to pad the time.
Great video as always! Only one on youtube that pointed out both Ethan scenes! It was very weird. I'm almost certain they brought us back to the RV for a reason and there is a connection between BIW, Ethan and Victor. After those 2 scenes I believe/hope it will be shown in the finale.
Ok, I'm convinced that the creatures are older towns people and the living people will replace them. Starting with Randall. They all are turning into monsters.
Elgin was not in the town when Sarah tried to kill Ethan. So he doesn't have that as a reference. I think that he is gullible and means well but went about everything the wrong way.
I don't think Elgin is under suspicion, only that he believes in what the kimono woman is telling him and that makes him dangerous. I'm sayin that "we" the audience have no reason to believe that the kimono woman is any different from the other instances of townies being duped by various entities.
I haven’t uttered this… but the whole Randell “you’re giving off playground vibes” (inferring he knows what those are) and then when Jim took Ethan than for a talk… I got a terrible feeling in the pit of my stomach.
Ok if it’s all a loop, maybe Ethan is the next boy in white. I have nothing to support this other than the fact that they form a bond early on and there are a lot of similarities in their behavior, maybe even how they look. Ethan is the story teller of his family and the boy in white seems to be the resident historian of fromville that tries to help those that are stuck there. The boy in white is growing and maybe someone else will need to take his place. It was supposed to be victor but the timing didn’t work so now it’s Ethan
There might not be much to the changing seasons. Filming for season 3 was severely pushed back due to the writers' and actors' strikes. By the time they were able to film for season 3, it was already fall/winter. They just worked in the "changing" weather to explain why Fromville all of a sudden has all that morning fog. And the Boy In White is just getting older. It's been 3+ years for that child actor. Homeboy is just hitting a growth spurt.
Well the boy in white could be replaced with another young actor as Victor says you look different but you always looked the same for the last 50 years so what happened. But that's okay at least they explained it away. The changing seasons is normal in Maine. But we need some story progression. This whole season only episode 1&4 are good and 5-9 is a nothing 🍔
Right, but you still need to explain that away within the story or write him out of the script. They chose to run with the "nothing ever changes here" as part of the lore, so now they have to make the changes make sense. I'm interested in seeing how they tie this into what they already planned.
Thank you, finally someone said it. I thought I was seeing things when I focused on Ethan's toilet visit and nothing happened and no one mentioned it. It was so weird. My only explanation is that they wanted to show how this new and improved Jim is hands-on with his kids and he is letting Tabatha do the town meeting and politics. Weak I know, still it was strange. Like usually in tv shows they don't show people using the toilet. Can't wait for the finale but I am a bit worried that people will be disappointed when some of their theories proves to be wrong or is not executed exactly how they imagined it will. I know people are saying Jim will die,and his arc supports this theory but I am afraid Donna will too as she said one sentence that sure gets you killed on tv...I will tell you everything you want to know when we find Fatima....uuuffff
I watched that sequence several times, looking for some hidden clue because I couldn't figure out the point of it. I think you may be right, though. If they're trying to sell us a new and improved Jim, then this scene makes some sense. I have no doubt that however the season ends, there'll be a bunch of unhappy customers lol.
13:45 - Tabitha is not Eloise. She's too young. Eloise is no more than a year or two younger than Victor, and Tabitha is more like 10 years younger than Victor. I think she's either seeing Miranda's memories, or she *_is_* Miranda (reincarnated). That time frame would actually match up pretty perfectly. Miranda died in Fromville around 1978, and Tabitha was probably born 2-3 years later (going by the ages of Scott McCord and Catalina Sandino Moreno).
But from last episode we know that time doesn't work like normal... I personally think that Tabitha is Eloise and you gotta be foolish to think otherwise... it also does that from had evil and good forces
I wish great shows like this had an additional season prepared for us in secret. They'll be like okay! Season 3 ended, but were releasing a 3 hour movie next week that will be the whole season 4!
Great stuff brotha great vibes Yeah that's bath room break seen what very werid man I think gym about to get killed he's getting the ich to get the hell out of there
I think the Tabitha/Miranda thing is a misdirect. I bet we will see that same scene from Eloise's eyes at some point, showing us that she was there too, except unlike her mother, she did manage to go through the tree and leave.
This is the one thing that could change my mind. They'll have to explain what happened to Eloise at some point. Here's to hoping we find out this Sunday.
I agree... plus going through the tree did not lead people out of fromville so maybe Tabitha went through a timeloop like Julie, and maybe Tabitha/Eloise has a body still in from being in 2 places at 2 times like Julie..
Kimono Lady is definitely evil. Ever since the blood collection I was like: yeah no this woman is gonna make something really bad happen. And holding Fatima's mouth shut so she won't be found didn't make me trust her any more. Anyway despite some bigger moments i felt frustrated with this episode and the last one better be the biggest banger of the entire series if it's called "revelations" part 1 better took care of all the setup so we can get SOME answer to something before the inevitable rude cliffhanger that will end the season
I'm wondering why the loop didn't start again until Victor was way older. Think the monsters are probably the townspeople from the loop before Victor's childhood. Each try to change the loop creates different outcomes. Almost all the people in the town dying in Victor's loop except him probably stopped the townspeople from turning. The monsters all seem to be from a loop in the 50s (stereotypes). And the spirits are from a time before that. (Settler, civil war soldier, kimono lady, the kids)
I’ve been saying for some time the major components of the story are memories and objects. I immediately noticed that the voices came back as soon as Sara fixed the object. Why, I have no idea. I don’t think there time travel or reincarnation. I think some people can see, hear, experience memories. Seeing memories has the usefulness of time travel to reveal old parts of the story without the messiness of actual time travel and the related paradoxes.
A big point is that the Kimono ghost can touch people and walked right past the Talisman Elgin put up on the door. Whatever she is, she's not a slow walking monster.
Unfortunately, the list of unanswered questions is getting longer while any kind of actual revelation still seems allusive. The final episode must have the big reveal with Fatima and the ghost baby, but I wonder which other plot threads might be addressed as well (probably not proper answers, but some more clues would be nice!). Also, things got chaotic after Boyd started talking about capturing a monster (a plan that got sidelined quickly), the new settlement with the food has not been explained at all, and the Cicada syndrome remains a mystery.
I've been waiting for more on Boyd's big plan, too. It looks like they've chosen to focus on the Tabitha/Miranda connection and the "Rosemary's Baby" storyline, which I'm OK because at least there is some focus, but I don't see how they pull the other threads back in to the finale without it being a mess.
Unfortunately i accidentally stumbled across the spoiler leaks and know what Fatima's baby is and what the numbers are. Still don't know how it plays out so i have that to look forward to at least.
I think the RV and Diner scenes involving Jim is a prelude to him not making it out of this season. I also see Sara sacrificing herself .... I'm on the fence regarding Fatima and Elgin.
I want Tabitha to be Victor's sister, but the actor who plays Eloise is not the same actor who played young Tabitha in the recurring dream sequence. It's interesting--at least according to IMDB--that in that episode, the actor isn't credited as "young Tabitha" it just says Young Girl. Maybe my hope is still alive...
She might be the reincarnation of Victor's sister, assuming Eloise died back in 1978 instead of escaping Fromville, but she's not literally Eloise. She's too young.
13:37 "Why is Tabitha seeing this..." I think Tabitha is Victor's sister. She escaped through a tree, she was adopted (as Tabitha has stated). Regardless, the series has devolved into stupidity.
Tabitha is too young to be Eloise. If she is Eloise, that would mean she was almost 50 when Thomas was born, which -- while certainly not impossible -- would be unusual enough that it would probably have been commented on. Maybe she could be Eloise reincarnated (if Eloise died in 1978 Fromville instead of escaping through the tree), but not Eloise escaped. The actress who plays Tabitha is 10 years younger than the actor who plays Victor, but Eloise was no more than a year or two younger than Victor...
