I love the Naga hero/buddy! Last time I combined it with a Foe Reaper. All the Nagas get buffed anyways by golden Athissa (goldened by Greta), so I only pumped the sheer amount of Spellcrafts into the Reaper. Remember on this hero the first spell is permanent, so I gave him windfury, shield and after that the 1/1 per Naga(so 6/6) or 8 attack as permanent every turn (after perma-shielding some of the other Nagas I had). Also with a Wrangler every spell is a permanent 2/2 (later 4/4, cause I goldened it). The massive shielded/windfuried Foe Reaper just killed 4-6 minions on his own! And even if it was stopped by a Leeroy (still killing at least 2 minions), you have a big shielded Naga board left to win the fight! One of the most fun experiences I had in Battlegrounds :D
It's so easy to get baited into buying spellcrafts on this build, but with the benefit of the pause button, rolls are probably much better value. Given every naga in shop is 2 spellcraft (4 with greta) it's pretty close to hardrolling 10 times being optimal play. Tough to see in the moment though. Without Greta buff assuming 1/12 minions are actually divine shield, every roll is +12/12, with a 1/10 chance of giving you 2xDS. With a single Greta buff, every roll is +24/24 with a chance of 4xDS. Gg, it's nice seeing the highroll games, because I don't play that many games and play on mobile, so these weird apmish highrolls often lead to choking out.
Man I got that naga golden buddy super early yesterday and used the triple to high roll into the 6 drop to buff my board. I then rolled into the 5 drop that buffs every time you play a spellcraft. I had the amazing direction and just needed to pick up literally any spell craft minions to go hard. Spent the next 4 turns until I died rolling with the only naga in shop that I was able to get being the 1 drop. 😂 saddest ending I think I’ve ever had
As much as i enjoy your overthinking and insight every game, dang i wanted you to just roll this game 😂 4 spells for every naga, with a change to get some very highroll units, looked way too fun
I have a question, wouldn’t it be better to keep rolling instead of buying Naga at tier 6? The way I see it, when u buy Naga, you have to spend 2 gold for an additional spell craft, but if you roll with the 2 gold, you are more likely to get at least one spell craft minion on bob’s tavern.
Yes rolling is probably better unless I'm getting an extra gun for the Athissa or more shields. Not sure on the % of spellraft chance per roll but it seems likely that if you're after stats it's best to roll it down.
a bit lucky the buddy. but then he is out of control yes. do you think it would have been better to keep the cleave 12:52 and make it big? you already had 4 naga and got so many buffs he could have ended up in the 50/50 stats area i think
I played this exact same scenario on Lady Azshara's end yesterday and 5thed thanks to Holmes/Tess/Vardin all hard forcing Naga. Got Buddy on turn 4 then Murloc Holmes steals it the turn I get it. Watfin to tavern 4 when? Ree.
if its not too much trouble highlighting the buddy at the start of the video would be huge, i dont play BGs just watch and find myself googling the buddy alot
I think as much as I believe I need to win the game. Don't get me wrong, if I was a better player I would be able to think faster, still find the winning play and also execute it perfectly. The reality is that I'm not, so I get to choose, figure out how to win the game and execute that plan (sometimes missing value) or play my cards really fast so I look better to my audience. Usually it's not the 10 extra pirates or 2 extra buffs that are the difference, but do you know what your opponents board looks like? What units do you need to roll for. Do you need Leeroy/Queen? Maybe blaster. Uther on a winfury cleave maybe? Do I need to buy this chef to make a golden Murloc to Discover a Queen etc... Those are the things that are going through my head when you see me " overthinking"
@@Shadybunny and adding to that, as a viewer there is much more to learn from thoughtful play (alongside your excellent explanations) than seeing another crazy apm game that looks impressive but has little more value for me than an "oh that looked impressive" impression
@@Shadybunnysorry for my rude comment to begin with.. I was talking specifically for the moment at 12:27 when you found the greta at turn 10 with 6 people alive (also previous turn you didnt freeze because you didn't have enough time again). It was such a missed opportunity to completely go ham. You would probably 1 shot everyone at this point and have all the time in the world to transition into a more lategame comp. I have been following you since you were playing arena only and my comment was as if I was talking to a close buddy of mine so I apologise again for coming off as a smartass.
I always love this comp. Not buying, just rolling past spellcrafts, feels so good. Very satisfying video
“Now I can get disappointed twice as often!”
Exactly how I felt every time I pick up road boat pair lol
haha :D

Just wanted to say your content is appreciated! Thank you for streaming and I hope the best for you

The turn you rolled Greta and went crazy on spells was so satisfying goddamn
I discovered you a week ago and I've seen so many vids already. Your battlegrounds games are so satisfying to watch!

I like your explanations, they're super informative and interesting :)
Thank you Toomas! My pleasure.
That Leroy buff at the end and pay off! Juicy!
This guy is so chill and skilled it's so fun to watch how he builds everything up and destroys everyone. Came from RDU btw :))
Hey Mattax, welcome to the channel & thanks for the compliment! RDU is also a great player to watch :)
