I don't know because I feel like some people get into bass fishing and don't have success with basic crankbaits, spinnerbaits, and worms. Then they give up too soon. For example my father-in-law gives up on fishing if he doesn't catch anything in the first hour. But maybe a simple lipless crankbait, a drop shot, a popper, a buzzbait, a tube, or a jig would benefit someone like this. Even with those keeping basic weights and colors. That's the beauty of bass fishing in that simplicity to more selection can be successful.
Great but it is necessary to understand seasonal patterns and analyzing a lake for productive water. 90% of the bass are in 10% of the body of water.
