I'm new to the ukulele and have been really impressed by all the fine online tutorials I have found. That said I think your "Jingle Bell" tutorial was the best online session I have found. I'm going to become a regular student and am looking forward to many more fun and excellent lessons.
You have a nice voice and natural sense of rhythm. One of the best voices I have come upon in ukulele training. Good display of chords and training video.
Say friend I had to download jingle bells not because I’m a big fan of the song but because your music has taught me how use to use the uke in some of my therapy sessions. I have a student who won’t talk but when I play the uke he will at least try. His mom said jingle bells is his favorite song, so guess what I will be working on. Thanks much Kevin , keep on strumming.
@@AllForUke Hmmm. Maybe "All I want for Christmas is you"...if it is not too hard :) BTW My daughter is going to buy me some of your super cool "Uke is Life" shirts for Christmas. :)
Hi I’d like to ask about D7 chord. I have seen another type of D7 chord from another tutorial. So do we have 2 types of D7 chords? Thanks for your vdo. I find it very easy to learn👍
No problem 👍 Thanks for watching and if you'd like more resources like practice tracks, song sheets, and lesson worksheets drop by my site and have a look. All the best - Kevin | www.allforuke.com
That is such a beautiful instrument!! Thank you for all your effort teaching. I have learned so much from you first with my uku over the past year and now recently since I've moved up to baritone. You have helped me tremendously and i am very greatful. Thank you so much! You are appriciated.
That's awesome - I've never played anything other than their tenors. I really like what I'm seeing/hearing so far w/ Aklot. What type of wood are concert and soprano ukes?

Ha! .... about 8 inches. More coming this weekend but at least it’s pretty. Gotta love snow if you’re a Minnesotan. Thanks for your quick response. The bridge G doesn’t work either so I fake it with a G7. Still having fun though. 💥😄
Happy holidays! If you're interested in more learning resources (Song Sheets, Worksheets, Tabs, Charts + Practice Tracks) or picking up a Kala ukulele, drop by my site and say hi. All the best - Kevin | www.allforuke.com
This is terrific! Thank you. Because of arthritis I can no longer form a proper G chord. Have you any suggestions for a “Fake?” I can do all the other chords. Nice to hear your new project. MikeinMinnesota
Hey Mike - how much snow on the ground in MN these days? As for the G chord, I’m sorry to hear that :( One option, although not much easier, would be to barre the 2nd fret w/ your index finger across the C, E, A strings and put your middle finger on fret 3, E string. With the original G chord, are you still tilting your hand towards the head stock as I mention in the Conquering G+ G7 video? That may help as well. Thanks again for learning with me - Kevin
Thanks Kevin, your videos have been so helpful (and adorable with the occasional appearance of your animal family), looking forward to some more Christmas play alongs! X
Hey Emma - thanks for learning with me :) The animals love making cameo appearances on screen lol. Dexter (the cat) likes to sneak into the video equipment cases while we’re filming. Such little characters haha. Thanks again - Kevin
Hey Maria - you’re very welcome. Bohemian Rhapsody is on the back burner at the moment as we’re developing a new course as well as a few new series’ format videos. I’m hoping we can return to it sometime early 2020. For the time being, you may want to check out the book that’s linked in the description of the Bohemian Rhapsody series. Thanks again - Kevin
Hello Kevin - First time ever sending a message via UA-cam. I have started the journey to learn the Ukulele and it is quite fun. I am interested in learning Jingle Bells but I have a question. You mentioned that the strumming pattern is DDU. The first cord 6 times. Does that literally mean DDU 6 times? I appears that you don't during your tutorial. I'm just a beginner so be kind - LOL! Also you mentioned free Songsheets, where are they located?
Hey there - thanks so much for learning with me. Yes, DDU 6x means to strum the pattern DDU 6x. May I offer a suggestion? I’d start off with my Kickstart Series followed by my Step Up Your Strumming series before you dive into a bunch of songs. You can definitely learn Jingle Bells and others simultaneously, but I think building a strong foundation is the most important thing at this point in your journey. Hope this helps - Kevin
Really good instructional video! One thing though- the instrument you are playing is an ukulele (oo-koo-Le-Le) not a uke (Yook) ukulele means jumping flea in Hawaiian (uku=flea or lice, lele=jump) uke means nothing.
Hey Hoku... I know it's pronounced that way, however on the main land it's very commonly pronounced "uke" because we like to shorten everything in the english language over here. I'll try to say both in future lessons.
My first Christmas playing ukelele. Good song to start with. Thank you.
thanks
i can play it now. Many thanks
i love your videos!!
Sixty and about to learn how to play the ukelele... You do make it fun! Thank you so much! Merry Christmas from the Netherlands!

Thanks for posting this. Seems simple enough, even for me!
Thanks for the Christmas Jingle Bells :) You are a good teacher! It helps to know what word in the song to change chords.

Hi which model is this Aklot uke? Couldn't find it in the web...
idk i might just be too new to chord construction but why does the d7 chord not have a d in it ?
Great tutorial but where do I find chord sheet please?
Hi - link is in the description and the chord sheet is available here: allforuke.com/lessons
How come my down down up strum don't sound like yours
