I think going from a large bag to a small one is hard. I used to carry big heavy bags and honestly decided to down-size. You truly have to make up your mind that you're just not gonna carry all that stuff. What I did was put a separate bag in my car console that held things like hand sanitizer, hand lotion, hair brush, antacids, ibuprofen, and so many other things that I just didn't use all the time. I figured I could use that stuff when I got back to my car or if I needed it sooner, then just walk out to my car. I now carry a Lug Mini Ranger as my everyday bag.
