Belo trabalho, o Bulldozer parece lento, mas também não havia muita terra para empurrar, por vezes a maquina é pequena, outras a maquina é grande de mais para o trabalho, mas o progresso avança em bom ritmo.

И я того же мнения. Без осушения им придется постоянно этой дорогой заниматься.

Там внизу потом столько пустотностей со временем образуется, что гарантированы обвалы. Но они, судя по всему, исходят из того, что они эту дорогу будут переделывать до самого основания раньше, чем перегниет и уменьшится до критического объема вся эта подушка из растительности. Я не знаю, то ли они тупые, то ли они бабки пилят, то ли тут надо как можно быстрее построить магистраль и прям ваще лишней сикунды нет.

Bum. Lay the soil on a bunch of plants. When the tree rots, the soil will settle. The road is deformed and holes will appear.

Where is the irrigation? every 600-800 feet there should be a 12 inch black corrugated pipe going across under the road. They are cheap and easy to install it will make sure one side or the other doesn't end up a swamp/lake. Especially in low lying areas with poor downfalls.

This is not the way to build a good road. You should never place road fill over organic material like trees and muck.

I disagree. The branches and root zone act as a geogrid. They won’t rot since oxygen isn’t present. The Alaskan highway was built in a similar fashion.

In order not to have problems in the future, it is mandatory to REMOVE the first layer of 50 cm of topsoil, because that soil is of very low quality in terms of compressibility of the soil, so if it is not removed, it would cause many problems in the future for the road, creating sagging on the road surface!!!!
The topsoil must be removed, otherwise that road will have a short life.. you absolutely cannot throw the base soil on the cut vegetation..
When the Alaska Highway was built, they did exactly what is being done here. On that project they found that removing the top soil made the ground unstable. I suspect the same is true here.
@@fredygump5578 I understand, but I don't think so, because the degradation of the vegetation under the rock base would create wants that would cause collapses at the base of the road.. in addition, the first 50 cm of soil are very bad in terms of compressibility. So in doing so a road base is created that is very fragile to surface loads. Otherwise, by doing so you also allow the vegetation they have buried to be able to even pierce the road surface

по моим наблюдениям такие дороги после дождя почти не проходимые грязь. потом колея от грузовиков глубокая. а там где с камнями насыпано со временем почти как асфальт и после дождя максимум лужа
I would agree. This is not their first time building a road through the jungle. Maybe the road is temporary for a different project.
In America there would be a 5 year Environmental Impact Study to save a stupid salamander followed by lawsuits to stop the project then we’d engineer the piss out of it and maybe 10 years later start the process. Although not perfect, these guys are gettin’ after it.
Something like that happened in Montreal (according my friends over there), they had to dismolish the old Champlain Bridge but they stopped everything for months to save two type of birds (bird nests) so they waited until babies can fly away... the mystery of the paranormal in this is when they dismolish buildings for a new project, people are ejected the same day, not months "(¬ . ¬)"

Don't you need to plow the vegetation out of the way and start with gravel/rocks for a base, then fill then pack it and then another layer? Or something of that nature? It would seem to me that this road would have issues shortly down the road. where is the compaction How will it hold up after the first rain?
No when you build road in Cambodia... I went through other videos on this channel and they literally don't have any standards for road construction (they build road across the lake by the same method as in this video). At least, it looks like this kind of road is more eco-friendly than western counterparts.

That road boss sure is exasperating, to me. I'm afraid that if I were the dozer operator I would have to line him up in my dozer sights and keep him running from me. Micromanaging has never been a plus for me...but then, this is a third-world country and perhaps such micromanagement is necessary if the workers are not able to learn and be proficient on their own. I have heard of such needs in the oil fields of the middle east and other lessor countries, where the workers had to have color coded hard hats so that they would know what they were to do and where they were to go. The coded hard hats were only for the locally employed people, not the professionals brought in from other countries, such as USA.
