- Lesandro “Junior” Guzman-Feliz, 15, was being laid to rest.
His promising young life -- with dreams of becoming an NYPD detective -- was cut tragically short last week when he was stabbed to death outside a Bronx bodega in an apparent case of mistaken identity.
This mother is so strong. So humble and sweet. She reminds me of my hardworking immigrant mom. Raised a good kid who didn’t hurt anyone. Rest in power Junior, you mattered.

What breaks my heart is this poor child left this planet confused, betrayed by the people in his community that I believe he felt some sort of protection and they just did NOTHING to save him and the way those cowards did what they did to him. truly. i didn’t know him well but my heart aches. i wish things were different for this boy.
Most of us have children his age. That's why we feel it and take it very hard. It's very hard to see that No one helped him. Especially the store owners who put him out to be slaughtered by the scum of the earth. Just before I went to Vietnam I had to defend a younger boy who was being chased by a gang called The JUSTICE. I ended up shooting one and the Detective said for me to keep my mouth shut and go about my business. Of course that Detective took my gun and tossed it. But those were yesteryear in the Middle 60s in Brooklyn New York City Williamsburg Housing Projects.
The Detective became a Lieutenant and was shot and killed in a bar. Most of the cops are now dead from those days. When I got my discharge I became a New York York Housing Authority Police Officer and retired.
I left New York City around twenty years ago. I really feel guilty that I wasn't there for him.
RIP JUNIOR.

The hardest part is the aftermath. When your loved one is laid to rest and everyone else has gone on with their lives but your left with the reminder your loved ones never coming home again. My heart aches for this poor baby boy and I haven't even known of him before! I cried my eyes out today as if he was my own brother or friend. The shop owner did try to help. Pix11 did an interview with him and he explained the whole thing and showed video that backed up his story. They tried to hide him behind the counter but the gang found him and dragged him out. The shop owner called 911 2 times and told them to hurry. He said 911 was taking a very long time and the hospital was only up the street. The poor boy ran because he thought he could get help at hospital faster that way.
The whole thing is a tragedy.

Other than the unbelievable pain and suffering. The unimaginable fear Junior must have experienced, he tried his hardest to get to the hospital. He wanted to live! The last thing he experienced in this mean old World is there was no one to help him......no one. Rest in peace Junior.

His mom is holding strong with everyone around her but I know she breaks down at night when she goes home to her son gone and many will move on and forget and we can not let that happen. I truly have never had that happen to me with any body or any situation. Maybe because I'm a mom I don't know but he is the 1st I've ever had in my dreams & especially every night like he was. I'm soo thankful that their in prison but as you said I pray the rest comes out & more involved especially that girl go down for it.
That baby was in my dreams for a reason & I feel he's at peace now with them in jail. As the nightmare & dreams died down after they were caught. Yet I still think there are more involved out there but I think he is a peace now.

Anyoso Olenja The bodega owner finally made a statement and released a new video, dude says he called 911 before Junior was stabbed and they asked him questions for 5 minutes, cap that with NYPD stood back while neighbors tried to help Junior and asked the cops wtf was they doing. Now the commissioner of the NYPD is saying they did nothing wrong by not assisting? A whole lot of heads should be rolling about Junior’s death but if the bodega owner is speaking the truth, there lies a very serious problem.

Her home is empty. The silence is deafening. The loss unbearable among the agony of her loss. That little baby boy. That child. Her child - taken from her.
As he stumbled foot after foot to the hospital trying to breath and retain consciousness, his strength drove him on. His mother's love pushing him to the brink and beyond. He fought for his life alone, scared, bleeding and crying when no one else would. I saw his mother's strength in him.
Once the tears stop, anger will set in and I hope the backlash and revenge will not continue this senseless way of life for this poor community. Its very difficult to not wish those pitiful men who killed this boy, this child, this mother's baby boy, the wrath of any respectful man who has the opportunity to inflict a sliver of pain that they dealt to this young man.

I lost my nephew who I consider my son. He was 20yrs old. He was kill also (mistaken identity as well)...My baby open his door, and they shot him, killing him instantly. On June 4th he would have been 28 yrs old. My birthday was the next day on the 5th. It has been very hard to celebrate my birthday since his death. My heart ♥ goes out to the family. This young man's death just has brought me into tears 😢, and having flashbacks. I pray and pray and pray. That's all I know how to do. To the mother...
