This time, I stayed at Sansuikan Kawayu Midoriya in Kawayu Onsen in Okukumano, Wakayama Prefecture.
The special feature of this inn is Kawayu Onsen, a hot spring that gushes out from the river!
Take a bath in an open-air bath at Kawayu surrounded by the great nature of Kumano.
This is a mixed-gender hot spring where you can enter wearing bathing clothes.
The quality of the hot spring water is gentle, and you can relax in it without getting too wet.
For dinner, there is also a half-buffet plan with all-you-can-eat salt-grilled sweetfish and wild boar soup.
You can fully enjoy delicious sweetfish!
Also, nearby is a large building that can accommodate 1,000 people, built by digging into the river.
There is also a “Sennin Bath”!
Depending on the date, if you take advantage of discounts, you can stay on Saturday for about 12,000 yen per person.
This is a cost-effective hotel that you can enjoy!

Sansuikan Midoriya is located in Okukumano.
The hotel is approximately 3 hours by car from Osaka and can also be accessed by JR or bus.
Kumano Hongu Taisha is also nearby, and Kumano Kodo is also nearby, making it convenient for sightseeing.
This time, we also visited Kumano Hongu Taisha, Oosaihara, and the Kumano River.
It has high ratings on travel sites, so I think it's a place you'll be satisfied with.
