Big Tire Annual and Fly In

The annual is due for the Stinson and the weather is cold. The annual inspection is when an inspector of aircraft looks over the aircraft, tells you when needs to be fixed, what should be fixed and then hopefully deems your aircraft airworthy. This year I'm hoping the 8.5" Aero Classic get installed and there are no grounding squawks found in the inspection. With the new cylinders and bearings breaking in who knows what could be found.
As we reach mid February the small window in Michigan where the lakes are frozen enough to land out is open. One of the reasons I choose a tail wheel airplane is to land on Michigan lakes in the winter so I'm hoping to get the chance to land on one or two this year. With the winter being so warm the Crystal Lake Fly In may be one of my only opportunities this year.
