My takeaway is that 'lived experience' gives authenticity and pathos to the music of artist. Innthe absence of it, music becomes technical and pedantic. Kudos to Irfan sahab for the excellent questions and interviews 🙏

What I always love about you, that is transparency and truthfulness. I saw legends very closely. When I took sitar as my own profession as full time after quitting 5years full time job. When I came to the world of reality of music I realized, even I still realize the main thing is missing in this field that is transparency. This entire industry is running on faking majorly.

Son of a rich and legendary sitarist yet hell of a life in childhood and as teenager cos of sad private life where parents were continuously fighting. I thought wow what a wonderful life he must have had. Its good to know about these legends how their struggles were and how they tackled.
Cannot imagine a great legend Ustad Vilayat khan having a restless life .
The one most closest to reality. Ustad sab has amazing competence and seems like an average person trying to deal with struggles of life as well, at the same time satisfied with life and keeping himself out of rat-race🌷
