Am I crazy, or did 2023 EG not prove Elevated’s point about the “academy” roster (dedicated scrimmage team to prep for that and do drills with)? But not only in terms of success on the main roster’s success, but that was where Demon1 was before being bumped up to the main EG roster
Winning 1 Champs doesn't really prove anything though, if EG had been dominant all year or for a long time you could point to that as a reason maybe but winning 1 Champs with 5 really good players just means the team was good.
@@joehicks929 but literally one of the 5 cracked players came from the academy team tho. The only reason it stopped was because eg as an org sucked ass and booted everyone.
@@king_thanos_2116 sure but like fnc won 2 events back to back without a reserve roster, so EG hasnt done anything unique that you can point to their reserve roster and go "this is the future"
thing about narrate replacing sacy is that Sacy would do well even when he was low fragging and have impact, not being burdened by the "shame" of low kills. But i don't expect narrate to be able to do that consistently. someone has to low frag on the team and its going to be a burden to carry as an individual.
Good point. Sacy had that veteran experience which carried him through the season. Narrate didn’t really dropoff much throughout the last season but when he does have a dropoff, how will he deal with it? This time he will a very structured side with FNS and the new coach. Hopefully that fits him because he did pretty well in a more loose style in KC.
To your point about having a dynasty team that shows having an academy team is the way to go: I was shocked that no teams copied EG after they accredited all their 2023 Champs success to being able to scrim their academy team!! In theory it should make your T1 team the best by far
53:50 in tge case of soulcas i am really hyped to see him next year in sliggys stream he talked a couple of times about how he would absolutlry pop off in scrims but choke in games because of a lack of confidance this should hopefully give him the boost to be a proper tier 1 player
They dropped the valorante roster, but still are continuing the contracts for content creators (elevated, TMV) Future is always uncertain but right now this will continue
I think there is some misinformation about the GE squad right now. Their players are restricted FAs, not released. Plus they will be given a chance to trial with the new coach it's just the org doesn't want to limit their player's options in case any of them chose to follow a different path. Won't blame you for the misinformation, everywhere I see it's the same misinfo being spread but I am just sharing what I have heard from the management.
Idk if people would like this solution but you can ease the sponsorships allowed on the tier 2 scene and get a lot of betting or crypto etc type sponsors to get more money into it. It's really hard to make money the 'fair' way. And ofcourse you can also use bits of skin money from tier 1 bundle skins to fund tier 2. Anyways I think franchising is probably not the right answer in esports. While league has done it well enough it has also always struggled with this exact same problem especially in NA. Franchising is really good for people who are already in it. But it becomes extremely hard to get into it as players with experience often get prioritised over younger talent.
34:05 nah, I wouldn't care if players are not from India. It's either Indian players or bust. Even if they don't win in the start but keep improving every season ,with Indian players, I would support them . Otherwise what's the point of having an Indian org.
Old man TMV randomly hit the volume button on his mic about an hour in so excuse the messy audio in the second half of the show. What an uncle move...
when Saadhak said he wanted to go back home and going to Berlin is kinda funny

Their only bad placement was Lock In and their reserve roster wasn't even complete at the time

Oiled Up man's Valorant suddenly popped up in an official Acend vid to gather fund so he can oil up for us 🥺🥺
Weird time to drop the video, but I am not complaining

@@Lucaz99 be isn't even going to NRG though?
I have watched almost all of this podcast at 1.75x or 2x lmao. I might be cooked
Can’t watch a long podcast without 1.75 after a while it sounds like they are talking too slow
No empty spaces
Champs Paris Grand Finals - KC vs VIT.
Arena packed to the brim and exploding with French fans' activity.
Crickets online.
Gentlemates has way more fans than vit so i'd rather have KC-M8
@@flo1794 fair enough. It would still have the same result though

Late night drop hold on now
didnt acend disband? Why is this podcast still going? (love the pod just curious)
That’s just incorrect. TMV is still contracted with Acend as a content creator. I don’t know about Elevated so I’ll not comment on that

That's why you see ads in the pod. Looks like they are getting ready to transition out of being creators for an org.
