Why was it that time apart felt longer than the years together. The bond of father and son, the love of a soulmate, and the friendship formed in the Cortex were connections forged over time and through fire. To lose him felt like an infinite void, surrounded by constant echoes of their past as they tried to move forward.
And then he returned, but now brought the journey of bringing his head and heart home to them, the Barry they mourned, the Barry they loved. They just had to have faith.
