Got one of these for 70 bucks at a thrift store in perfect condition and honestly it's great one of the best helmets I've ever had
This is my helmet, I'm quite happy with it. The sun shield hits the top of my nose, I simply run it not all the way down. Good fit, good quality.

Having a long oval head, but not having tons of extra cash, I really like my HJC helmets. I'm on my 4th one and have worn the heck out of them.
I've got a MAX2 flipper, and an IS-17, just coming up to 5 years old. After 30+ years of Arai (crazy money now!), and one deviation to Schuberth (very quiet flipper, poor Sharp rating), I'll be going for HJC again. For flippers, I always recommend people look at the *stay shut* % listed on the Sharp page. The Max might only have got 4 stars, but its 100% stay shut score was better than several of the 5Star, more expensive rivals. Wish they'd just made more of the IS-17s that really was a great all rounder.
The C70 gets a 5 star rating from SHARP testing and the I70 gets a 4. The difference is in side impact protection. While I appreciate your reviews, it would be nice to see reviews discuss safety in addition to liner material and speaker fitment, particularly in light of available data from more objective test schemes. I'm puzzled that with mips, ODS and Leatt technology that revzilla does not do some testing or comparisons. In the case of the ODS tech from 6D you don't even review the helmet, and it may be one of the biggest advances in helmet safety in a long time. Maybe I'm overly critical, but people turn to you for info, you have positioned yourself so people turn to you for info, and you are selling these products.
I got the hjc rpha 70, but now I regret getting it. The c70 i way cheaper and has 5 stars from SHARP. The RPHA 70 got only 3 stars
Not only that it is ECE certified as RevZilla said only DOD - i did get this over F70 - why pay more when a $110 helmet has almost the same safety standards are SHOEI

Im pretty sure this helm is more round shaped? went to an store to get different helmets fit and this one fitted the best and was comfartable to wear. I have quite a round head... weird if it's actually more oval since those immediately start hurting normally.

I love HJC helmets. They just fit me better. I tried on both the C70 and I70, the I70s sun shield hit the top of my nose slightly, that being said I don't have any issues with the C70s sun shield not covering enough. Also I ride with light adaptive lenses and when they darken up and I drop the sun shield it's perfect! Ventilation is also vary adequate, I bought a pin lock visor and have yet to use it yet, no fogging issues so far and that's since May. I think I paid about 150.00 for mine on Revzilla though but I bought the Trokey coloration which is probably why.

How can I install the pinlock 70 anti-fog to my iridium lens? I can see a marker where the hole should be, but there's no pin on it.. What's the best thing to do?
I just got this helmet and been wanting to put a chin mount on this. So is it safe to say that I can get an i70 or iS17 compatible chin mount for the C70? Anyone find a chin mount for this?
Otherwise, this is like you said, a very good and light entry level helmet fo shoooo!

holy , i used to own an is17 . the good are interior pads were soft. it protected my head when i crashed a stray dog at 65km/h. i was like backdrop and the helmet was medium scratched. the bad is the aerodynamic from sides are poor. when the wind come from side of motorcycle ,. i felt like someone push my head. haha. the spring system of sunglass was stiff. and the sunglass was unusable; i felt dizzy looking thru the sunglass. i have owned about 12 helmets so far. i didn't like this series.

for me it's that hjc has the colors! stuff no one else does better.
Judging by this not having stupid unnecessary and loud speaker pockets for a non existent and unnecessary Bluetooth system that nobody can afford, and that nobody needs, this helmet seems to be the best helmet on the market. A real gasket that actually works and a visor that snaps closed. And it's 1/3 of the price of the exact same style of helmet from Shoei. It doesn't make sense. I bought a Strada 2 but I think I'll be returning it because the gasket on the face shield is a placebo and doesn't actually do anything. The HJC seems to have everything you need and is also pure plastic which doesn't transmit the road noise as well as the lighter fiberglass composite helmets. The Strada 2 sounds like it's a giant loud speaker, it transmits all the external noises straight into the core of the helmet through the brittle and lightweight shell, which is terrible for actual riding.
If you want an intercom system it really sucks!
Can't blv no cut outs! Installing one will press against your ear uncomfortably.

I have a Packtalk bold and fitting the speakers where the ears sit in the helmet is too tight. Any recommendations for speaker placement? I was thinking maybe I could cut material out where the ears are to make room for the speakers but I dunno..

Quality is very similar. It just depends whether you want an internal sun visor or not. The C70 has one, and the Qualifier doesn't. -DrewZilla

bell qualifier dissapoints with its 3 sharp safety test
I used bell qualifier but now I have bought a C70 helmet because of its outlook and in my opinion, C70 will suitable for touring than bell qualifier!

Will it fit if I have glasses on?
Yes. I tried one, and it had slots to help guide my glasses into place. When I pulled the sun shield down, it didn't touch the glasses.
Had no issues with specs using the IS17 or MAX-2 flipper; don't envisage any problems with the C70 - it's essentially a re-worked IS-17 ...... which HJC should have just carried on making! ;-/
Good presentation, not impressed with the new HJC though.

ok helmet rubbish in the rain, crap seals will see water get inside the visor and drip down from the sun shield opening at the top ........totally unusable in wet weather
Mine stays dry. Pretty good for a cheep helmet
