DOGWITHTWOBONES, can you give more examples of richie blackmore using the phrygian dominant mode in the band rainbow songs. The more examples the better to learn from
Hi mate, I've seen some pictures of ritchie strat's in the mid 70s with humbuckers at the bridge position. Have you seen them? Manchester 74 gig, and another that had a humbucker but got change for a single coil. Can still see the big hole.
@@DogwithtwoBones i found out there was 2 with humbuckers a 1974 dimarzio dlx plus. About 10 k. Pretty cool sounding. One was a guitars build by tony iommi guitar builder. Jaydee.
Thanks, it’s a cheap run off the mill dunlop slide, not sure about the name. Btw I have a full video called slide like Blackmore where I talk about his slide playing.
@@DogwithtwoBones Are these the new style of Sensors, or did you get used vintage ones? They sound very nice through your rig, and I'm considering getting a set for myself.
Tunkkis as far as I know Don Lace invented the lace sensor gold for fender in the 80s but then somewhere in the 2000s he established Lace as a separate company. But not sure about the differences in constuction and tone, probably not much if any.
msus 1 btw i am thinking of doing skype lessons in the future so if you’d be interested we could look at any song and transcribe it together. Just an idea.
@@DogwithtwoBones will you keep us up to date regarding the Skype. I would love to have your thoughts and analysis of Wring that Neck solo from the live Deep Purple In Concert. Your videos are always great. Thanks for what you do!
@@rsothe3rd I have actually started skype lessons already just haven't promoted them yet. If you're interested, let's discuss in email "dogwtb" is my Gmail address. That wring that neck version is a wild one, I have a few licks figured out though, we can crack the nut I believe.
More and more Blackmore, please!
I am on it :)
This is really cool! Keep it up! This is a unique material
Thank you! I finally wanted to have something different than the usual solo covers. I am glad people seem to like these.

@@hopespotbrand.1725 SO the first one is the sunburst strat? Those are the dimarzios?
Very interesting as always; does Gates of Babylon use the same scale in the riff?
Mostly yes but there’s a twist which will be the topic of the third and final installment next week.
@@DogwithtwoBones Well, I'll wait for it!
Great vid. What kind of slide is this? Ty

I love your videos!
A question about the Fender Strat Blackmore´s signature. Are you keep the Seymour Duncan pick-ups or you changed them?
Thank you so much! I did not like seymour duncan ssl4s because they were a bit too dull so I changed them to lace sensor golds which I love.

Tunkkis i bought these new in 2006 when lace sensors were still made by fender not Lace independently.
@@DogwithtwoBones I see, I'll get my research on.

I did not forget but if I do it, it will take some time, i have a lot of other things in the works already.

What pickups do you use??
Lace sensor gold in the Blackmore strat, CS69s in the malmsteen and the black one.
Can you please talk louder next time is hard for me to hear you. Also thanks for the lessons
I had problems with the mic I used for the speech and I had to use the camera sound instead, that’s why it’s not that loud.
