It’s not kpop , it’s hip hop. Actually this song is literally what hip hop means. And yes agust D love movies with mafia , action ,money , etc , like Christopher Nolan movies , and also in this, like in all the agust D work, there are tons of “scarface” references, like the bath scene with money and his clothes while he is in.
Haegeum has a dual meaning.. it's the traditional stringed instrument and also the lifting of a ban....
It's also a throw back to the first song in the triology eg Deachwita where he enter's the mad tryrant Emperior courts with his 'hommie's' which his head hanging out the window of the car.
Actually haegeum is part of suga's trilogy song . You will not understand the song if you do not listen to daechwita this is the song where the story starts after that the second part is haegeum and the third part is amygdala this song is about suga's past
It has an official meaning and more slang meaning eg Heaguem is and traditional Korean 2 stringed instrument played with a bow but it also means to lift a ban on something that's prohibited or is a social/cultural taboo' hence Suga(aka Agust D) is smoking in the MV which is something 'kpop' Idol's are not supposed to do their fans and companies will got crazy at them if they are caught smoking. BTS don't really follow 'kpop' rules they are free to do what they want. They've never conformed to kpop rules and never will.
