What a great video, Jamie! My grandparents are Sicilian and they grew up always having fennel after dinner to digest. We carried on the tradition in my house :) I have to try your tips about the roots. I, admittedly, throw them away. Never even thought twice about it!! Thanks!

I had never eaten fennel until a couple of years ago when i tried one of your recipes. Now it's one of my absolutely favourite veggies! Raw or cooked, I love it! And I love how Buddy loves it too! What a cutie. My kids would never eat anything picked from the garden. I guess you started him off right, good job. :)

We love fennel - both raw and cooked! We even slice it up and include it in school lunches, the way you would carrots or celery. Love these videos, although it's dangerous doing a video with Buddy as you can't help focus on that adorable face rather than listen! That kid is a scene stealer! Had a great time listening to Jamie yesterday at the Toronto Q&A for Everyday Super Food.
