    I live in los angeles and i can say parking at lunch is a pain on it own its busy to but fun to walk around and see what they have i suggest wearing comfortable shoes.
    i love the building and details on the older building and its fun to walk around and see the sites if you ever visit in Downtown LA have a look around and enjoy the scenery stores and food.

    For anyone planning to take a vacation to LA, make sure to meet up with a local who can show you around. I don't remember who said this, but "LA is a confusing place to visit, but a wonderful place to live".

    it seems that this video was taken during Christmas season and so probably most people were not at work, having the holidays at home. When I visited downtown it was Easter weekend and it was similarly deserted.

    What's even better is all the planned construction updates coming up. Two new towers, one 1,200 foot tower, another 750 foot tower will be added. Along with another 623 foot tower with the Grand Ave. project. Do not forget the recently updated Marriot that will stand parallel to LA Live that will also be added soon. Civic Park and the Broad as well. LA is getting massive updates soon. Don't forget Farmers field! Which will bring along several high rises! =]

    Something so depressing about cities/places where you can't really walk or there arnt many people walking around outside... I'm checking this video to see if I missed something whilst I was in LA...not my kind of place... It makes me love London, I think that is the best thing about European cities, the fact that you can explore on foot.

    • @carlsm95
      @carlsm95 9 років тому +1

      pancakesandtea New York, Chicago, Philadelphia, Boston and most cities in the northeast US are walkable. Los Angeles is laid out differently, it's a sprawl of different towns/neighborhoods connected by a web of highways. That's cause there's a ton of land in California and the population is less dense. Downtown is strictly a business district where people just go to work. Shopping and entertainment is more in Hollywood and Beverly Hills.

    From what I can see downtown LA streets and sidewalks are really clean which is of course great. The weather looks awesome. Here in Chicago its nice too especially in the summer its gorgeous but a little tired of all the snow in the winter. It seems like theres a lot to do in downtown LA. But is it pretty safe to walk during the day and night time?

    Wilshire Grand Towers. But that has been downgraded to only 1 tower of 1,250 feet tall. It's site is currently being demolished to make way for it as we speak! Grand Ave is still on hold for some reason, but some of it is underway such as the Park, and it's Broad museum.

      Kim Kyok-Sik LA is laid out differently from a lot other cities in the world and even the US. It is more like a quilt of different cities/areas with no strictly defined center connected by a web of highways where everyone drives. Downtown LA is strictly a business district and you won't find anyone walking around unless it's lunch hour/rush hour. Manhattan is the exact opposite, the streets are packed 24/7.

    • @JuanRodriguez-sb6xd
      @JuanRodriguez-sb6xd 8 років тому +1

      +Edison Urizar Los Angeles is a huge shit hole man not just skidrow.. the LA river is trash infested, the neighborhoods are ghetto and trashy, watts, Compton all ugly.. Hollywood is ghetto graffiti filled, homeless. San Francisco is far more beautiful than LA. and believe me I seen ugly parts of SF. but its very VERY few. new York is garbage as well but its twice the population of LA.

    • @JuanRodriguez-sb6xd
      @JuanRodriguez-sb6xd 8 років тому

      +Edison Urizar hahaha yes I have man .. how would u know? lol you need to do some research .. NY city limits is 8 million Los Angeles city limits is 3 million .. for all the cities combined NY is 20 million and LA is 13 million. LA is the second behind NY .. it does not have more people then New York City.. they hold the crown not LA.
