You use every single inch of the track with perfect apex! Man you are so lucky to run the laps without slow drivers in there. I want to ask for 1 tip, at the turn in, should you max out pedal which you actually can do? It seems that doing that will understeer with a lot of wheel shake... i guess this is why i lose a lot of time? may be lift with half throttle or even slight brake?
That is a very inaccurate lap time you saw on the board. It happens time to time when someone crashes right after the finish line and then go back and forth.
@@davidgarstech Man, I saw some 16s too at my local track in oxford. Guys weighed much more than me - had no experience and got fastest time while I was in 20s. Whats wrong with their transponders after crashing? Never seen anything like it in actual competition. Smooth lines by the way, loved it.
Does the manual mode make much difference? Obviously it gives you more control but is there any real advantage to shifting the gears yourself over letting the kart do it for you?
In 2020 price was $50 per race. By winning the title I got a brand new Go pro 8 black edition about $400. I got 25 worth $500 free races. 2 snowboard passes to mountain hight $200 value. T shirts and a $200 gift card...
@@davidgarstech that sounds super cool David. Thank you For sharing. I actually want to go to this exact location soon. Do you still go here? I called they said you only get a prize at the end of the season (year)… are those when you got the prizes? Congrats on being a K1 champ 😎
@@wrinklingtissues1724 the Go pro was given to me before the year end. Go pro was sponsoring the event in 2020. I don't think they sponsor it now. And yes, you can not earn your prizes until you win at the end of the year.
@@davidgarstech ohh that’s cool. Do you still go man? I really appreciate the much needed information. I am thinking of starting to go as a hobby. Do you go alone or do you have a group? Also, any advice for starting out? I hope to see you one day at the Anaheim track 😎
Hey man, still going to k1 this location? Could really use some pointers on track. Quick question though, any need to use the brake pedal at all? Other than to avoid crashes and obvious reasons
I do GP at this track (anaheim), experienced drivers do not use brake unless you're trying to avoid crash. I suggest the full throttle and coast method. Keep in mind some karts have high oversteer or understeer. Subsequently, when learning how to coast, keep in mind that all karts have different engine braking. Some karts coast nicely when you take the foot off the pedal, while other karts feel like you are stepping in the brake, so keep that in mind. I find that those who use brake on this track cause accidents. Good luck, hope this helps a bit.
@@Koko_Samhey man quick question on the first turn on the track what marking do you look for to let off the throttle and coast into that first sharp corner?
@@youragent7671 they are real and they work... red button is to reverse and green forward after switching from reverse. 8 heard you can use the green for a boost.

I just saw this message sorry for the late response. It's full throttle from turn one until turn 4
Thank you for sharing great lifts and line
YOU CAN GO YOUR OWN WAAYYYYY
I went to this exact one it was amazing
I went yesterday it was soooo fun
It's always fun there.
I’ve been there before and going on Wednesday because I have a half day at school, super exited.
I just went there, do you know why the kart bumps alot randomly?
Bumps while turning, straight line.
@@davidgarstech okay thank you!
Why is my time 28.2? I feel like I'm taking the same lines?
Rent a $5 camera from them and send me the video link they give you. You may be taking a good line but not full throttle.
I went there and I think the fastest time was like 22.3 seconds

My dads lawn mower goes quicker 😂😂😂 what’s the top speed like 30kph

@@TanmayPanchal46 this has nothing to do with the transponders. All it takes is someone to crash by the start finish line to mess things up.

There’s no shifting gears in electric, I’m not sure y there is paddles
There is shifting in some electric karts. They didn't have them enabled for this race tho. Benefits are being able to hold higher RPMs

Same karts but with a display that is worthless since you can only see how much battery you have left.
