Ever since I started watching your videos, I got more fascinated by the beautiful Japanese food. There is something about the Japanese culture that western culture lacks and that is one of the main reasons why Japan is becoming more popular day by day. From anime to attire, from festival to food, this country never fails to impress me! Japan is ❤
P.S. A good amount amount of credit goes to you as well, for exploring and letting us learn all this! Thank you!

Once again I'm so impressed by the innovative Japanese packaging. The self heating steak is ingenious ! The separation of the salad was awesome just like the nori in the video with the hand roll. Well thought out. I wish in the states we were more conscious to preserve the freshness and integrity of ingredients. Thanks so much for your videos. I always enjoy them! I can't wait to ride the rails in Japan ! :) get some!!!

Not exactly sure who invented the heating unit but its been use by US military for 3 decades ? In form of "MRE" definitely worth trying as well.
And cant agree more, those meals looks like if they were ordered from restaurant as a take away.

    • @_MrBread
      @_MrBread 5 років тому

MCH4RSK1HCPAALLIKKO The US may have Kickstarted it but it’s been in use by almost the majority of big militaries around the world, and it’s not MRE, although the food can be called MRE, but the Heating Element itself is called Flameless Ration Heater or FRH for short.

    Hi Eric,
I love how passionate and adventurous you are with food. Meal time is my favourite time of the week.
I've realised one reason I keep coming back to your channel is because there is absolutely no negativity. Even when you don't like something you eat, you never say it's yuck or horrible. You just review it honestly and give your viewers a real insight into what in front of you.
Thanks for putting together such awesome videos every week.
Thanks to you my very first visit to Japan in November 2018 will be a very tasty one!!! :-)

Certainly better than anything on offer at railway stations and trains in the UK. You're lucky sometimes if you get a hideously overpriced half stale bread bun with a scorched morsel of bacon in it and a cup of indifferent, weak tea. We need ekiben here.

Mackerel is also quite popular fish in Lithuania, Baltic state. It's very healthy - lots of Omega3 and other elements. Also, it is known that mackerel absorb not much toxins during its life, from the ocean. We usually eat mackerel smoked and salted, along with beer! :)

Hobbes84 Trust me salad toppings really complete foods. Haters gonna hate of course but burgers with lettuce and tomato are so good. But Americans really hate lettuce, tomato etc. It was how they were bought up, that is why pepperoni is the most bought pizza in America. Also Meat bacon sauce cheese and buns is to them normal. As for me toppings, egg, beetroot as well as what I said before is glorious! Add some pineapple and while the burger or pizza will be topping'd out, it will taste delicious! But for a good pizza add me some mushrooms, capsicum onion, olives and etc!

I really enjoyed your recent video with your youngest son. I love seeing you with family and friends doing these videos. You have been a NOMNOMNOM streak lately. Love it. These ekiben looked so good and the sushi was in a style I have never scene before so that was cool too.

Another nice video. The travel lunch meals and the vending machine meals are nicely unique so keep them coming.

Watching your videos always makes me crave Japanese food sooo badly, everything always looks delicious! Actually everything you eat always looks good.. But I enjoy seeing the food and having you teach a few things about it I love learning something new from just watching some guy on UA-cam eat lots of food!

the Japanese have food down to a science. Even their simpler foods are both so complex and simple at the same time. Great video, thanks for sharing!

I like the self-heating bento! Simple yet genius, with only Calcium oxide and water. My lunch tastes better when watching your videos, Eric. Thank you!

I have to say man this is the 1st video where you actually saved a equal portion of food for the camera man. You usually eat all the meat on the poor guy. I was please to see you saved him a equal portion of 3 slices of beef tongue. I'm very proud of you Eric. Maybe in a future video you can show the camera man.
