I doubt American democracy is the best model for Africa. A single center of power creates tyrants and dictators. Weaken the powers vested in the presidency devoid of historical tribal kingpinship would make that office less attractive. Election hygiene and veracity is more critical to our democracy. Let voting be based on ID and compulsory with attendant system enhancement.
