1. Inspect and quarantine: Before introducing new plants into your garden or greenhouse, thoroughly inspect them for any signs of Mealybug infestation. Isolate the plants for a few days to monitor them for any potential pests before integrating them with the rest of your plants.
2. Maintain plant health: Healthy plants are more resistant to pests and diseases, so focus on providing optimal growing conditions. Ensure proper watering, fertilization, and adequate sunlight for your vegetable plants. Strong, healthy plants are better equipped to withstand Mealybug attacks.
3. Monitor regularly: Regularly inspect your plants for any signs of Mealybugs. Look for white, cotton-like masses or waxy secretions on the undersides of leaves, along stems, or in leaf axils. Also, keep an eye out for ants, as they are often attracted to Mealybugs and may indicate their presence.
4. Physical removal: If you notice Mealybugs on your plants, remove them manually using a cotton swab or a soft brush. Dab the pests with rubbing alcohol or soapy water to kill them. Make sure to clean the affected area afterward to prevent the spread of Mealybugs.

8. Crop rotation: Rotate your vegetable crops each season to disrupt the Mealybug's life cycle and reduce the likelihood of infestation. Avoid planting the same type of vegetables in the same location year after year.
9. Clean gardening tools: Mealybugs can spread through contaminated gardening tools. Clean and sanitize your tools regularly to prevent the pests from hitching a ride to new plants.
10. Keep the area clean: Remove plant debris and fallen leaves from the garden as Mealybugs can hide in these materials. Maintaining a clean and tidy garden environment reduces the chances of Mealybug infestations.
