Hey everyone! I’m getting a lot of hate mail/dm’s on this one so i must have touched a nerve! Please note that i still think SN is a dope fitness program, which is why i feel comfortable critiquing it! Thoughts?
This is the reason why I look for reviews? To identify pro's and cons and then I can make an educated decision for myself. Great job and thank you for the tip of trying it out for 3 months!
It has dramatically improved my health. I am much more active now. And instead of grabbing a quick snack...I grab my head visor for a quickie 8 min workout.
I got a quest 2 for Christmas and supernatural is my new favorite way to work out. It’s so difficult for me to do HIIT, this has broken through my barriers. I’m still out of shape from COVID to the point where I have to pause between each song to rest. But I’m determined to get back into shape with this app. I love the coaches, they’re so nice and motivational. I need the “thirty seconds left” and “I’m proud of you” to thrive - my only issue is I have neck problems so the VR headset is really putting strain on my neck 😭
Hello. I’m not sure if to get quest 2 or 3. Is it any different on quest 2 than it is quest 3? Just learning about all this as I need to exercise as I came out of an illness but doing better.
I also have neck problems but love supernatural! So I hot glued a couple of weights (large carabiners) to the back of the head strap (I got the extra battery, so glued to that) to counter-balance the weight of the visor. It helps about 80%. We still have to squat so our heads go forward, so still some strain, but this helped enough that my neck has been able to get stronger without the damage. Now my neck is fine as long as I stretch a little before and after the workout. I hope this can help you too. Neck pain is terrible.
I am trying out Supernatural for 30 days free. I did not buy into the one year subscription for every reason you just said. I have seen people on the Facebook group complaining about how their numbers dropped so now this really makes sense.
My big thing is I work in a hospital in the kitchen. So I get cardio, weights, and so on. I like supernatural as away to de-stress when i get off. I try to do the stretching every day for my benefit.
Right now I'm enjoying supernatural and I've lost some weight. And you are right about how people eat. I'm still working on that, and I don't really care about the points don't get me wrong I do look but if I need a shower after the work out then to me I'm doing some thing right and I do alot of moving at work. For me this work out works right now.
Been doing it for 6 months. Love it. Much of what you say is true, but it engages me and keeps me moving. For an older person...thats good enough. I dont relay on it soley for exercise and walk everyday. And yes, you are right you have to watch your intake to loose weight. Overall I LOVE it!
I REALLY appreciate how accurate your "diet" explanation is. Always something I've struggled with and it's so encouraging to hear something say this rather than the diet as in eating leafs n such. Great video my man
Im trying it out as well from running XC and weight training in high school its not the same but its a good way to get back into it when you dont have the time to go to the gym with children and family .
I love it but do need something else. I haven’t found anything I like as much. I’m old and have some health issues so going to gym is out. Any ideas of more workouts in SN that would help?
For transparency Beatsaber has the free music-mapping AI engine Beat Sage for custom songs/levels and infinite replayability. These levels are not designed or voiced by fitness coaches, but are challenging and come in different flavors--free single saber, 90 deg, standard 0 deg, no arrows, and $25/month patreon for 360 deg levels. All levels go from Novice to Expert+, and there's mirror mode in native Beat Saber. I expend the full quest 2 battery and the extended battery without getting bored, burning 1200 calories when setting my weight 125 lb and height to 5.7ft every session thanks to Beat Sage levels.
I like supernatural. I haven’t been able to do it for the past month because I have vertigo. And yes I signed up for a full year. This program gets me sweating. At least it gets me moving.
Thanks for these videos! I loved my sons Oculus so much I am purchasing my own since there doesn't seem to be a good way to switch users without losing information and game levels. At least not that I have found yet. Anyway, I LOVE Beat Saber and once I have my own I am getting Supernatural. I watched your video comparing the two and definitely want to try Supernatural. :) I think I would enjoy FitXR as well.
Great video, I agree with pretty much every point. I did go for a yearly subscription around a month ago, after I did the 30 day trial, because I was so impressed with the variety of the workouts. I just wanted to say your channel is dope, and am now a subscriber. Loved your comparison to FitXR which I also own but not a subscriber. Great job.
I love it. thank you. I just signed up yesterday for supernatural, but i have been using fit xr for the last 2 months. just decided that i didn't like fitxr anymore because i want more than just boxing. i tried the hit and dance, and your right, they are just shit. so gonna try out sn and see if it's what i'm looking for, which i hope it is.
I really liked the application but detested the constant yapping of the trainers in the background. Wish there was a way to mute them. I don’t need anyone pushing me, I push myself.
@@FitProVR They are really annoying. I can’t get into the workout with someone yapping. Especially since I know they say the exact same thing to everyone. LOL
I completely agree! I turned them down as much as possible. I absolutely don’t need them and at times I avoid one in particular who kinda grates on my nerves. One particular pet peeve of mine is that “Athlete” thing. Sorry, but doing SN and being an athlete because of it...? I don’t think so! @@sarama4153 Agreed! If you listen to the one hour interview with the creator (last name Milk) he plainly states that he hates working out and that he wanted to create a platform for people like him: People who dislikes fitness and NEEDS it because of weight, health or whatever. Yeah, I guess a big part of why it doesn't seem worth it to me is that I'm not new to fitness, I already have a demanding and time-consuming daily regimen, and I don't have a lot of extra fat I need to lose. So for me it's basically just Beat Saber, but not as fun. Better workout, sure, but... As another reviewer mentioned, it's kind of not really even a game at all; it's just a fitness class that happens to be in VR. And it happens to not be the kind of fitness class that I most want to take. I can exert myself as intensely with Audio Tripp cardio mode and Pistol Whip while just having fun playing games. And have been , like almost every day. If you really need to get in shape and need help getting motivated, it could be really great.
Wait?! 120? ... I wish! I paid 180!!! But as mush as I hate saying it, diet is important. And I hate it. I love a big fat juicy burger from tie to time and know if I eat one I have to do more than 2 hours of cardio to make up for it.
