lol I don't think there is any sort of departure from the band, the band isn't even inactive, they released a couple of singles last year and their last album and EP was from 2018, not THAT long ago... I guess Will worked alone/with other musicians for this project, and we will have an OR LP in the next couple of years...
@@Albert-Freeman Much as I'd love this to be true, I'm pretty sure O.R. is done. The last two albums were essentially solo projects, as Will himself has said. And in a new Vanity Fair interview, "I was not feeling like ‘Okkervil River’ were two words that applied to anything in my life.” ... I love the beauty and deliberate pace of the two new singles, but a big part of me will always miss the rock 'n' roll moments that the band was so good at.
