yeap, I agree with you Veerendra, that would be good if this Synapse Link for SQL could target Delta Lake. Saying that I just found out an alternative (see link below) but it requires a Synapse pipeline to run on schedule (so no real time sync like with this Synapse Link for SQL) ua-cam.com/video/Qu9u69pkC5o/v-deo.html (Native SQL CDC Support for Synapse Pipeline / ADF)
Hey @@AzureSynapse, I'd like to ask a question. Is there any possibility to have two way replication between data coming to Synapse from external source (i.e Dataverse Dynamics365) and Azure SQL ? I'm sure it's not going to be a straightforward answer, but I wish to explore options for 2-way sync between CRM and Azure SQL and clearly Synapse is the important piece sitting in between. Thanks in advance :)
Hi Chuck Heinzelman (@SQLBoyWonder), thanks for this Synapse Link for SQL. Is it possible to pause/resume the Synapse Dedicated pool or will it break the mechanics ? As well will it be possible in the future to use as target Synapse Delta Lake instead of Dedicated pool ? ...a bit like shown on ua-cam.com/video/Qu9u69pkC5o/v-deo.html Thanks
Thanks for sharing
Amazing work! Congrats!!!
Long awaited! Any plans to be able to make this available for use with Synapse Serverless so that the data can be left on ADLS as parquet/delta lake?
Awesome, it's just so simple & powerful.
Great Feature. It would be good to have a Data Lake or Delta Lake Target also for Synapse Link

For SQL Server 2022 scenario, is there any configuration change or plugin installation on the SQL Server side?
Any plans to make it work with SQL Server 2019, 2016 etc
Can we move data from synapse to on premise SQL server database
Yes, but not using Synapse Link for SQL (this is one way replication). You can use Synapse Pipelines or Azure Data Factory to achieve it.
