Another amazing free spirit interview, where does Bob find these amazing people. Leaving the kids /grandkids behind is a big challenge.

Small vintage trailers are a good alternative. I have a 1972 Hunter (fiberglass)...tiny, light, all the comforts...

I plan to be this woman in less than 3 years. I have a 4x8 Hiker trailer l plan to full time and travel in.
I did work camping in a larger travel trailer for a few years but found it to big to haul around. I have the Hiker now for camping and am
working full time and saving until l can retire. Less is more!

Respect for Rena......a brave, adventurous and inspiring woman who took her retirement into your own hands and disregarding her doubters has embarked the adventure of a lifetime. Whilst most people are trapped in the daily drudge and grind, Rena is living the freedom that people only dream of and as she says can't even imagine until they do it. Kudos and I wish you all the very best.

Her joy in her freedom was palpable and inspiring. Although I listened to her words , I also watched her demeanor and body language which added to the story. Hers was total happiness, which says more than her words ever will. Thanks, Bob, for another inspiring video!

This lady understands the value of trying something out for a while before she makes a final decision. She has tried out the smaller version, she will put this version through a test drive, then decide i she wants the bigger version. Good sense. Because she will then be in a position to talk to the company about what really works for ladies traveling alone. If the T@G company has enough smarts, they will send a designer to have a conversation with her about what problems she had, and what she did for "work arounds". I think it would make for a better product.

It really is just impossible to describe the freedom! I like your attitude and thoughtful approach to what you are doing.
I live in a vehicle and its take me a long time to set up and break camp, too. I don't have the space of a van. After two years part timing I am still minimalizing what I bring, haha! But it feels good to do that!

Bob how about a state by state meeting for members of your tribe? It would do a great deal of good for those who can't make the annual mecca or are seeking more guidance on this lifestyle. Meetings could be monthly or quarterly.

Reena is very inspiring! I'm considering downsizing. I have been looking at the T@B because of the wet bath ~ one of my requirements. I laughed when I saw the WolfWise for her port-potty. I have one also. I just completed a 5 day car camping trip and as Reena said, there is a lot of learning, satisfaction and old-fashion excitement in simply 'finding what works'! I carry a soft Thule carrier on top of my Jeep and with it raining one night, rather than get down the WolfWise (which pops up and down easily), I just rigged a 'tarp tent' off my tailgate using large plastic snack bag clips to hold it to the luggage rack. I'm now acquiring a fascination with 'learning knots' for camping. Thank you for another awesome lifestyle video.

Great interview she really thought things through and is very well-articulated. When she talks about her planning and you know going in stages and methodically figuring out what works best for her and her dog and I'm really excited to watch this video I think both of you I'll be 65 in June of two twenty20 and that is when I plan on or sooner getting some form of RV or teardrop I'm still looking at it maybe an ambulance but I just appreciate all the videos and all the people that allow you to tour their Rigs and hear their thoughts I just really enjoy it thanks a lot have a great day

Would love to see an update video to find out what she ended up choosing for her permanent housing. The tag looks great, but not sure it would be ideal for day to day living. The tab 320 sounds like an amazing trailer option especially with the outdoor kitchen option.

I could have had a Casita for half the price of my Tab, I feel good about my decision to go smaller. I'd rather throw a rtt on my Jeep and not tow the bigger trailer. Bigger would have meant 'not at all'. Sometimes I think everyone getting ready to embark on the RV lifestyle should tent camp across country a few times.

Team Honda! I've been looking at old Parris Pacers and Scamps to pull with my Honda Pilot 4WD. 3,500lb capacity, 4,500lb capacity if it's a boat trailer. Why is that? Because boats are aerodynamic? Anyway I figure if I could keep the total trailer weight under 2,000lbs, my SUV should be ok, has transmission and power steering coolers, tow package. I agree with what she's saying about wanting the integrated bathroom and less set-up time. I know I want a toilet and shower inside the trailer, but I don't need much of anything else in there. I rarely cook anything. Mounting solar on top of those egg and teardrop trailers though...that might be tough with the domed or rounded roofs. I see the Aliner Ascape has kind of a curved solar panel on it, I really like how those are equipped but..$$$$. Inspired by Jim's builds though, I was thinking of putting panels on top of my SUV and then the batteries and controller in the trailer. But then charging would stop whenever I unhitch. I keep thinking a van makes more sense but in my area any recent year van is also $$$$ and good luck finding 4WD. Can't afford Sportsmobile.

Love how she thought this all out. There's a channel Cosmo Weems and he has a tear drop that he had Propex HS 2000 added to his Teardrop Vistabule...but I do believe it runs off of his solar. Here's a video of him comparing it to a Mr Buddy Heater ua-cam.com/video/V8OHRW98G5U/v-deo.html. He does say that the Propex is load so in another video he switching the ducting and that seemed to lower the decibels. Anyway thought the info from this might be helpful to anyone not really wanting to do the Mr Buddy heater thing
