Watch out, we're coming into the arenas.
Bullfighting is a key event in Saint Sever. As early as 1457, bulls were already let loose to run in the streets (Photo of the encierro). It's said that one day a particularly fierce bull charged into the church and skewered a priest during a Mass.....
Wooden arenas were built in the middle of the XIXth century and the present arenas were built in 1932 . There are always large crowds during the ferias especially for the courses landaises.
