‎@terra-crew put together another amazing Speed Metal event this year. Take a ride with me on a lap through the 5 mile desert loop. The loop was definitely burnt in from the previous debut Speed Metal event.
After hitting the Desert loop, I found that the trucks limit straps where torn clean through on the passenger front. The thrash track (big jump sesh) was set to immediately follow the Desert loop, but we knew that without limit sraps, there would be no jumps for us...
We immediately scrambled to the vendors, and not one set of limit straps were to be found onsite. We began to ask fellow prerunner dudes if we could borrow some limit straps off their truck. Right as the first round on the thrash track was coming to a close, we had a friend step up with some 18" limit straps, which was exactly what we needed.
In the first round, we barely made it on the track as the round was coming to a close. We had one sketchy jump, which was my fault for being timid and coming up short. Later that evening, for the second round on the thrash track, I knew it was a minimum 60mph jump, it was absolutely epic ripping out there with my friends.
I love this event. Thanks again, Terra Crew, and thanks to the Desert Community for stepping up with the limit straps! 🤘🇺🇲
