Rail Replacement Bus Service is almost a mtw in-joke now, I've heard it used so fucking often. But as a punchline it makes no sense to anyone outside of London, like I have learnt the ins & outs of the London public transport system from mtw, without ever having visited.
I actually had to take one in Wales because it was Sunday and that apparently means no trains. Cardiff to somewhere like... half an hour away by train - the bus got stuck in traffic and it took two hours. But luckily my sister and I are paranoid af and our connection was still like 45 minutes later.
