- With unboxing & ground handling tested it was down for a great beach afternoon (Summer 'Downunder' ) to fly the Micro Staggerwing . What an aircraft, handling a lightweight on-board camera to capture all the excitement.
You may smell the sea air & my enthusiastic approach in getting this little baby up in the air on its first few successful flights!
Very ´nice video on the beach man
Glad you enjoyed it Dirk. It is a great little aircraft🦘🪃🇦🇺
Great video, you’ve inspired me to buy one. Looking forward to flying it.
Go for it! It is a wonderful👍 little aircraft & flies well in wind
Great maiden flight Noel even in the wind, she takes the weight of the camera very well....jeff.
I was apprehensive about the camera weight Jeff. But she sure handled it well. Even having the camera on in the cockpit for 5 mins whilst i secured the top wing.
A keeper for sure. Thanks indeed
Enough to fund your hobby💸❓😜
that is a awesome parkflyer nice flight I like your beach front videos 72 degrees cant beat that this morning were at 32 degree in Florida great video 😊🛩🛩👍👍
It is a great runway there indeed. We have 36 here this weekend but it is in Celsius ( around 96f) Thanks for flying with me Slowflyer … is the ‘85’ your age?
lol no im 67 but 85 has a meaning for me back in the days @@Bellairvideo
Haaaa I could not resist!!!😜🇦🇺🦘
but i sure feel like im 100 lol@@Bellairvideo
Noel, absolutely brilliant video mate!! And that landing at the end...pure butter!!! Cheers and happy landings!
Ohhhhh Mate, such an encourager. Many thanks indeed for your lovely comment.
@@Bellairvideo No worries mate, well earned 😎👍
A GREAT review! I have the red one but haven’t done a maiden yet. What I did do was to modify the rear tail wheel making it steerable. It was well worth the extra effort.
That is a great idea Richard. Enjoy the flights
We have found 5-8 grams under the plastic radial motor plate helps allot for CofG Nice flying venue mate and got me enthused to try a möbius cam on mine.
Thanks for the tip Craig. I think the bigger 1k battery should also for the trick.
Very cool my friend, wonderful video. Hope all is well
Hi Don, all great here. Is it too cold to fly there. Glad this video warmed you up but spring is around the corner for you there. Take care.
Great video! I must say that the tide-levelled wet sand makes a much better strip than our old mining tailings one. 😉😊
No problem picking up magnetic sand into the motors there? Always gives us grief if things go Toshiro Mifune here! 🙄
Ohhh yes… but think of those little gold nuggets you get caught up in the undercarriage 🤑💰
@@Bellairvideo Lol! Actually there is a little glass phial of small gold fragments kicking around somewhere amongst the detritus of long ago trips to this area with a local old Yosemite Sam. But mostly it's a tin, copper, silver, lead and zinc area. 😊
As usual, Noel, an excellent video in a beautiful place. Cute little plane. 👍🏻🙂
It is a lovely little flyer mate. Even in the gusty wind. Very happy with this one
Thank you for the detailed representation of the parts, especially the stable wings. This bird is very beautiful and I think it can survive even bad landings without breaking, right? If it is a calm day, can this plane glide down from the sky with the engine turned off and land like a glider? BTW you have a wonderful area to fly your RC planes and you made a great video 👍
Yes indeed, after many hard landings it was only the wheels that came out. Easy to pop back in
@@Bellairvideo Okay, that's good to know. You make a great job for RC friends all over the globe, no doubt. I am Matthias, a disabled German in real old age, just can walk some steps with the help of a rollator but can still drive my car for short distance and I speak true - it's time for me to learn RC flying now, hehehe. Must take in account that my steering reaction is not the fastest anymore. My Ranger 600 is the first bird I can fly arround without crash..This XK A300 biplane is more beautiful, of course, and you are a trustworthy man so that I have a new dream now. Would you recomend to take the XK A800 motor glider as next step of learning or this nice biplane ? In fact - A life without RC models does not make sense for old boys, hahahahaha. I wish you a lot of fun with your flying RC Babies in Downunder. See you in the air
G'day Matthias, So good to hear that you are pursuing your flying hobby. As you know the saying "if you don't use it, you loose it" especially with brain muscle eh!. Yes the A800 in stabilise mode would be a great inexpensive glider for you. I had an 86 year old run up to me at the beach a while ago & said he loves RC planes & had not flown for years, but he was going out to buy one & get back into it! The other day a guy with his 90 year old father came up to me on the beach & said they love watching my UA-cam channel & have seen every episode, in fact they were going thru them all again. So there is home for this 76 year old yet eh. Haaa
Let me know how you go.
nice review , scenic airfield :) is that 808 32 key chain camera? sadly it looks like discontinued... what could be a similar alternative today?
Yes, it is Mark. You can still get the 808#32 on Ebay from the Mobus site.
That's really impressive Noel. Handles the wind conditions pretty well too. Great camera perspectives as always. Cheers, Mike 👍
Glad you enjoyed it Mike. Ordered the Waco tonight. Interesting in the open cockpit filming!
@@Bellairvideo, I'll be eagerly awaiting to see the Waco once you have it ready, Noel. Open cockpit should be interesting. Cheers, Mike
Great video , you have so many cool planes i just got into rc planes hopfully my workplace looks like yours one day.
Keep up the great flying TNT & you will have some interesting aircraft in your hangar as you grow in your hobby.👍🇦🇺🦘
@@Bellairvideo Thank you !
New beach video today 30c here
@@Bellairvideo cant wait to see it , i got some video im about to upload nothing fancy just needed to get it out just took it today
Will check out!
Noel I have been a fan of the Staggerwing for a long time. When I was 15 training with my brother, a Staggerwing came in for fuel at the airport we were flying out of. It was white with red trim and red interior. One of the most beautiful planes I've ever seen. This little bugger looks like fun. I had my doubts when you started putting cameras on it, but it handled them no problem at all. I very much enjoyed the views. The rear facing was very interesting. Nice flying brother!
Hi there my dear friend. A really lovely little aircraft. I would buy another if something happened to iy. The biggest problem was the fitting a camera into the cockpit, then after switching the 808 on, then re fitting the top wing with the 7 screws. Next time I will try my Go2 camera (if it fits in) as I can switch it on & view the image via my iPhone. I will also try the 1K 2 cell battery fitted in. I did do this flight with the battery hanging out & worked very well but the video was getting too long to include it....next time eh! I bet you would have enjoyed a flight in that full size Staggerwing with retracts. Thanks indeed & looking fwd to your offering on Friday.
Such a small model, handled the wind like a champ
Performed so well!!
What is the size ( in mm & inches ) of the propeller ?
Sorry i forgot not know as i have sold it
@@BellairvideoExcellent move on your part, mate !
I have this plane in red. I haven't put it together or flown it yet. Now I'm really looking forward to it. Thanks.
Let me be really ‘crystal clear’ …. You should love this little inexpensive aircraft. Make sure your CG is correct. Have fun 🇦🇺🦘🪃
Yep i am gonna buy ith👌👌👍🏻👍🏻
Nice but sadly its electronics do not allow binding with other transmitters. It has a S-bus port too but, unfortunately, it's non-functional. Too bad, but one is stuck with a toy-transmitter. 😮
Indeed. I sold mine recently
@@BellairvideoOnce again; excellent move on your part mate !!
What kind of camera are you using?
Hi Allan, it is s Mobius 808 32 D lens that only weighs 17g.
Here is another couple of umx flights that can take this camera

@@Bellairvideo Thank You
You are mistaken welcome. Ps available on Ebay US$45 delivered🇦🇺🪃🦘
Most welcome ( corrected typo)
I am a retired potato farmer from Idaho.
I now spend most of my time flying RC airplanes. I sure like the compactness of the Mobius camera. I ordered one right away.
Vuela muy mal, diseño deficiente, emisora muy mala no aconsejo su compra.
