I see comments asking how much we earn. In my personal experience................... Self employed in Central London 300 to 1800 a day. Outskirts of London 200 to 600 a day The further up North you go the less you get. You need to live in a densely populated city to maximise income. If you're self employed you need sales, marketing and negotiation skills as well as all the gas skills. Also need electrical and paperwork skills I came out of corporate city jobs after 18 years and took a year out to intensively learn all of this starting with a fast track course. It worked for me, but it wont work for everyone.
I would love to become a gas engineer thing what worry’s me is all the new boilers coming out and I heard that they are trying to get rid of gas boilers just hopes the trade Is still here for a long time because I would love to be one
I see you mentuined the hydrogen. Im 28 now, if youre saying hydrogen one day will replace the gas is it still worth learning the trade in your opinon. Obviously no one wants to enter a career with timer on it.
Hi Keith, basic Maths and English are the requirement to be considered for a gas engineering course. If you would like to call the office on 0800 6123177 we would be more than happy to answer your questions and invite you in for a centre visit.

@vivatraining I really want to become one but how long do you thinks left in the natural gas and will gas engineers still fit the hydrogen
Natural gas will be around for a minimum of 30years. Then hydrogen! It's an amazing industry to get into !
@@vivatrainingUK thanks for the reply so gas engineers will fit hydrogen too
