If ya'll didn't know, this song is based around the "I love you will U marry me" bridge. It was about a guy who proposed to this girl he was in love with (Claire) who said yes. He proposed by spray-painting "I love you, will U marry me" on the bridge that connected two apartment buildings. (Park Hill Apartments) Claire later broke off the engagement because child services would take away her existing children if she had chosen to marry him. This broke his heart. The bridge the message was spray-painted on could be seen perfectly from the nearby train station and became famous for giving a sort of hope and love. This bridge quickly gained traction and poured into the town's culture and music. After the whole engagement break-up, the artist of the bridge was homeless and jobless and asked the company that owned the newly-renovated Park Hill Apartments for help. They said no despite using his artwork to promote their flats. Another thing, the artist was kinda sad they never added Claire's name before the "I love you" part despite it being meant for her. With this knowledge, i really hope you appreciate the song more now that you know what it's talking about! ^^

@@autumncedillo1141 basically a man named Jason (i think) proposed to a woman named Claire( i think) by writing i love you will you marry me on one of the bridges at park hill flats. (Basically a block of flats in a really deprived area so it was seen as a really bad place) they both lived in the flats and she said yes to his proposal, however Claire had kids and cps told her she had too choose between Jason or her kids. This was because Jason had been in the (very flawed) foster care system where child sexu*l abuse is really common , i think he was a victim of it. Sometimes when people are abused, when there older they may become the abuser towards someone else and cps was worried he might do something to Claire’s children i think. Jason said he would never do such things, he had children of his own that had been taken away from him for the same reason. Claire chose her children understandably. A while later Claire was diagnosed with an aggressive cancer and died at age 30. The flats became derelict because they were in such bad condition because of the mass amount of poverty and after a while a company called urban splash decided to redevelop the flats. It was with good intention i guess but now they are like super expensive and have been hipster-fied if you will. The company basically gentrified the proposal by lighting it up with LED lights, it would’ve been nice if thats all they did but they also sold t-shirts with Jason’s proposal on as well as pillow cases, drink bottles etc. All the previous flat owners would never be able to afford to live in the flats now and were basically all kicked to the curb whilst there history and reality of poverty had been romanticised by a bunch of hipsters.

Ok, so I'm curious about the whole homeless man, did Yungblud give him any money? Cause he sings about other people using the mans art, so I'm just curious if he did the same as them(just in song form) or actually helped the man out.
It's good they get recognized dude. Yungblud said himself he doesn't want to stay to one genre. He wants to be rock and pop. One of this songs is already I'm a TV show .He deserves to grow
Man this sad and to mention that it is based on a real life thing that happened is even more like a wtf is wrong with the people that let the guy that made the thing that they are earning money from live on the streets like that is so messed up
Marla swstr hehe you were right. ‘That one song’ is now 11 minutes. Amazing song, and it was a collab with two pretty famous artists so their fame is also helping a little I think. But 11 minutes is getting a lot of talk now.

Ain't it sad, sad, sad?
We got the love but they put out the fire
(Park Hill romance) 'Cause they expect us to walk on the wire

It’s impossible to sing doms songs without a British accent
revisiting this in 2020
I first heard this song on indie radio, right after it was released. The vibes were perfect and I ended up listening to all his stuff. This song is as great as the day I first heard it. all the love from India, dom :))
Yes i Will marry you.❤️😂

Dom:I love ya will ya marry me
Me:yes please

I Love You, Will You Marry Me

We got the love but they put out the fire
(Park Hill romance) 'Cause they expect us to walk on the wire
(Park Hill romance) We got the love but they put out the fire
(Park Hill romance) 'Cause they expect us to walk on the wire
A kid lifts up a spray can
And never thought it would be famous what he did
Turned the mess into a dreamland
With a quirky act of romance
A version of Romeo and Juliet
This time with Adidas sneakers and cigarettes
A couple of kids trying to cut down the safety net
They twisted the story so they could bring glory to it
I love ya, will you marry me?
Oh, what a shame we gotta pay for reality
Ain't it sad, sad, sad?

They didn't write her name on the article
That to me just seems pretty farcical
Now coppers take coppers
Out of his hands from a ban from alcohol
Fundamental narcissistic
Tried to make out he didn't exist
When they wrote on the what
When they wrote on the
T-shirts, cool merch, postcards
And lighting it up like a piece of art
They kicked him to the side and left him to starve
On the memory that's re-breaking his broken heart
I love ya, will you marry me?
Oh, what a shame we gotta pay for reality
Ain't it sad, sad, sad?
I love ya, will you marry me?
Oh, what a shame we gotta pay for reality
Ain't it sad, sad, sad?
Every day, every day, every single day
Every day, every day, every single day

I LOVE ALTNATION
Ok, so I'm curious about the whole homeless man, did Yungblud give him any money? Cause he sings about other people using the mans art, so I'm just curious if he did the same as them(just in song form) or actually helped the man out.
Right that's what I'm wondering too!
Theres a video of when he actually found jason! They met and he seems to like yungblud a lot :)
@@waitwhat570 Link plz?
I'm literally so in love with him Idk what to do with myself
nobody will ever convince me that he isn’t saying “parking robots” instead of “Park Hill romance”
lmfao
At first I thought he was saying Rock and Roll-
His asthma after the concert: 🤪🤪🤪🤪🤪🤪🤪🤪
Haha it was literally max 30 minutes concert back then
This song brings me back to the 90s! Even though I'm a 2000s kid this song gives so much nostalgia and magic.
All the pop people are going to appear and try to steal this song from us very soon. Might end up with another case like tøp.
DogsArePeopleToo lets hope it doesn't get like that
Honestly you are being selfish, this group deserve recognition and popularity just like Tøp, No offence just saying
carmen so true, idk why people get so mad and stop listening to music when it gets popular
It's good they get recognized dude. Yungblud said himself he doesn't want to stay to one genre. He wants to be rock and pop. One of this songs is already I'm a TV show .He deserves to grow
DogsArePeopleToo poor tøp.
im vibing to this in my kitchen at 4:09 am making spaghetti

I just noticed this song was relised the day my father died... wow
imagine in about 20-30 years, dom stopped making music, bro i would be so bored and sad:(
Yes, I will😂🥴
I seen him live yesterday opening for MUSE at the Royal Albert Hall. I love his energy and charisma. Great voice and brilliant performer. New fan!
Man this sad and to mention that it is based on a real life thing that happened is even more like a wtf is wrong with the people that let the guy that made the thing that they are earning money from live on the streets like that is so messed up
Can you please explain the story to me bc I searched 'Park hill' in google but it wasn't anything helpful

Yungblud will be fame af and i was here before they got famouse with THAT ONE song hehe :)
Marla swstr hehe you were right. ‘That one song’ is now 11 minutes. Amazing song, and it was a collab with two pretty famous artists so their fame is also helping a little I think. But 11 minutes is getting a lot of talk now.
Yes, I will.
