Didn't really want a folding phone. This one grabbed my attention
I've generally not been interested in foldable phones. But this one is definitely attractive. Who would have thought Motorola could hit so strong? So yeah, I'd buy this one even at that thousand buck price point. Honestly both phones are gorgeous.
Yeah asthetically very pleasant and vibes of these phones are amazing. Especially the red ♥️♥️♥️.
What they need to do immediately is to fix their software update situation. If they increase the frequency of update like Samsung, there will no competition at that price.

I had the old analog Razor. I used it till At&T told me that they can't support it. Now I am going to get this one. It looks great. Thank you Joshua Vergara for the informative video about this phone.
I've had this phone for about a week. At least 2 people at my job saw me using it and bought it same day. It's awesome and I don't have any large complaints. It's super light and it has so many fun little gimmicks that bring me back to the early 2000s when phones were fun
You had it for a week. To get your moneys worth out of that $1000 plus tax phone how many years do you plan on keeping it?
@@Tom-ld9hp tbh I'd just live your life and not worry about what I'm doing. But my past 3 phones were hand me downs and cheap Motorolas. Wanted something fun for a change and it's been great. I also adjusted my budget where I wouldn't spend anymore a month than I was before. Now if you'll excuse me, I need to go enjoy my weekend.

It's a great phone, I got it less than a week ago, and I can't put it down! It's working flawlessly. Battery life is amazing, and I'm truly enjoying the light weight of the phone, and how compact it is. I'm still going through all their features and gestures, which are great. The phone looks and feels premium, and the magenta color is stunning . Bought a clear case for it, to show off its beauty. I'm extremely happy with this purchase. Enjoy your phone!
I got it for 400 sold an iPhone made 250 profit then bought this phone for 400 only really paid 200 for it cause I buy upsell iPhones 😂 so worth it for $400 price

Nobody in my life understands why I'm so excited for a flip phone like this! It's just nice to see a smaller phone and something different. Before apple dominated the phone market phones used to come in so many different styles and colors whether it was a brick style or flip phone. For over a decade now all we've had is... rectangle. Slab. And in usually 3 color options. Wow. So cool.
Yes, love the big outside screen. Sometimes u get tired of liugging around giant screen phones, or tablets. This one is perfect.

Thanks for this thorough video. My last Motorola was when they had the slide-out keyboard. I really loved that phone! I'm seriously considering this flip though.
The camcorder grip is one of my favorite parts of flip phones, I used it at a concert on my flip 3 in 2022 and it was pretty comfortable
I can't wait to get my hands on one. we got Oppo and vivo also have compelling flips available, and with Sammy yet to drop their flip5, it's a great time to be intrested in a flip handset
Moto has been stepping it up recently! Love to see them have a bit of a resurgence in the market. Hope that leads to further software support, which has been a weakness for them. Love moto gestures though, and any competition to Samsung and Google is a good thing.
They're committed to giving 3 years of Android updates and 4 years of security updates for now.

I tried the Pixel 7, iPhone 14, iPhone 14 pro, Moto edge 30 Fusion and Moto g stylus 5g 2023 in the past month and I took them all back. The Razr+2023 is a keeper. It does everything well with very few bugs. The cameras are adequate and work well with the extra display to show your subject how they are going to look. Also supports wired headphones with a dongle (a big plus for me) the battery lasts all day and charges quickly at 30 watts (charger sold separately) very well designed and executed
This phone is really something else. It's gorgeous and it's quite unique with its functionality. Great phone by Motorola. ❤️

Yikes! I wasnt expecting Moto maki g such improvements. Now I have to wait for the Flip 5 to make a comparison before deciding.
I wonder if the flip 5 will have the dust protection rating like this Razr has, first flip phone to have a dust protection rating I believe.
@@brooklynforge4591 Sammy fold and flip have been the only phones to have an IP rating before the RAZR 40.
Ingress rating doesn't just have to do with water.
@@yeejay6396 there ingress ratings where only for water though I believe, the flip 4 was IP X8, x means no dust protection. Also the china and Europe only 2022 razr had a IP 52 rating

You may have just sold me on the Razr+, Sir. I have a Zflip 3 at the moment, and other than the battery, works great for what I use it for. My biggest con about mine is lack of maps on the outer screen.
The speakers are good for lunchtime music, but am wondering about the Razr+ and the Flip5 comparison.

I am glad to finally see other folding or flip phones coming to the US market. Tired of seeing the only ones that have been forcibly made available to the US. Might actually get replace my LG V60 Dual Screen.
Question what I enjoyed most about last year Razr 2022 compared to other flips like the z flip 4, was it was as wide as a iPhone 13 Pro Max. This year it seems to have gotten skinny like the flip series can you confirm? Dimensions I’m seeing is from around 79mm to 73mm
Nice review, I have jumped and ordered in the UK. Arrives in 3 days 6th June. Had Sam Flip 3, Flip 4 (broke 3 times and gave up) moved to a Pixel 7 but miss a Flip phone. This ticks all the boxes for me!!!

😅 Great video. So yeah I ordered one yesterday. My regret is that I didn't order it wednesday so I could have it before weekend. My background. I have used Chinese $100 phones all my life. Great phones for me, never lied too or cheated by sellers. Buying from Alixpress is awesome. Then videos like this started to come around. Since the days of Ericsson or Nokia phones I've missed the smaller formfactor. In Sweden we use something called BankId for everything. So an old clamshell wouldn't do it for me since BankId doesn't work for them. My first computer was an Vic-64 my second was a AMIGA. AMIGA was of course running a Motorola 6800 processor. So playing games with awesome graphics was made possible with Motorola. ❤ Motorola 4 Life - yeah I'm old 😂

What's novelty about real utility? Flex mode for creating content is novelty? Or quick settings or the view finder on the outer screen? Be specific.
Depends on your use. It's a good device for many uses.
If you're into phone cameras, then it's not as feature rich with different focal ranges or extreme hardware specs. It seems like what it does do, is nice.
Taking a break from Samsung... I pre-ordered mine today! T-Mobile made me an offer I couldn't refuse.

First impressions on battery life? In your opinion does it last a day of intensive use?
The device looks interesting, but not knowing a lot about Motorola phones, how timely are the security updates and how long and how fast are the firmware updates?

The cheaper Razr was the one I completely ignored like everyone did for the Denver Nuggets and Miami Heat all season. It looks exactly like a Flip 3 and 4 but a smaller cover display at 1.5". But if rumored price at $799, it's got me interested in it a little more.
I probably would still prefer getting the Razr+ mainly for the bigger cover display and better SoC. But I wouldn't mind getting the cheaper Razr as I surprisingly don't use the 2.7" cover display on my Razr 5G a lot except for GMaps and watching videos. I usually open the phone when I want to use it. And who wants to reply to texts using that 2.7" display? The keyboard already takes up half the screen.
The Razr 40 (non-plus) has surprised me with the build quality. No more glass from top to bottom. As Michael Fisher has stated, it has that pleather (plastic/leather) that the BlackBerry Bold 9000 had in 2008. I like that feeling. It looks way more durable than any foldable flip phone I've seen.
It's cheaper.
It's durable.
It has stamina.
I think the cheaper Razr is the way to go for most people who aren't into tech. There are already question marks about the durability with foldables. The cheaper Razr is the one you don't have to spend so much to take on those risks. It has everything the Razr+ has except the SoC and large cover display.
The more budget-friendly Razr will open the doors for more affordable foldables. Samsung will copy this and will eventually release cheaper models of their Z Folds and Flips. Everything always boils down to price for most consumers. When more budget-friendly foldables gets released, we'll eventually get to that sub-$500 barrier.
Razr+ is the better phone. The cheaper Razr might end being the more important release the way the $600 Pixel 6 or A-series did for Google.

Just got the base Razr (Razr 40 called in EU) and I paid about $800 (with 25% tax which we have in our country). So at about $600 in US money, this is a steal and flip phones just became very competitive. It's plenty fast with 7gen1, 144Hz screen, build quality is great with vegan leather and I just love how small and pocketable it is!

Can Cover Screen OS work on Razor Lite and Razr Ultra ? Or is the dev still trying to adapt to the Bigger screen? HOW about Split Screen? - is that something Moto can do? YOU COULD PUT Message s at the top and the Keyboard on the bottom half

I bought a case for the phone that incorporated a screen protector for the external screen. I felt it was getting minor scratches.
Its between this one or moto edge plus. Maybe the fold 4 but my 3 Inner screen when black spot without warning after 2 years. It's this an issue with this type as well since it's a foldable?

I liked this idea because flip phones were all I had back in the day. But after watching this video, I realized how impractical it is to open the phone if you can do most things while it's closed. Then, you have to open the phone for the rest of the features. Seems like the novelty would wear off real quick.
Purchased the Samsung Flip 3 1st week of release , I definitely wiil be getting the razor + for external screen display...
U do know that the flip 5 will have the external screen display also don't u? I'm on the flip 3 also and waiting for the 5..this razr+ plus checks ALL the boxes, except... Consistent updates. Samsung is king in that regard

Imagine I'll be deciding between Razr+ and Edge+ from 2023. Used to be a OnePlus guy but have been loving my Edge+ (2022), and these newer Moto's look even better!
I have edge+ 2023 because I game, and let me tell you it has the best battery life of any phone I've ever used , and comes with the 68watt charger in box, and definitely one of the more premium feeling devices I've owned
Same here , I was on the OnePlus team... Even tho I still love the OnePlus, I was itching for a foldable.
It sucks that when they come out with the colors they only give you the basic black color in the stores seriously you have to order the red color

Is there a unique interface when the phone is half opened? Like a split screen similar to the Nintendo DS? I think the new Samsung fold will have that feature.
You can do split screen for gaming or just regular task
