Me too. Twice. I didn't get to see much this time. Niagara Falls was clouded out. I missed seeing the diamond ring and Bailey's Beads this time, But the darkness at totality made up for it. In the most beautiful place on earth. Wyoming in 2017 didn't even compare.
If I had not witnessed it myself, I would've thought he was over reacting, but I did witness it. Moved to tears is exactly how to describe it. Nature and space are ASTOUNDING. And to be lucky enough to be on a planet out of the entire universe that can experience such a thing and in a time where we understand what is happening. ❤
Looking up at the sky from this small rock we call Earth, this awe inspiring event has really brought it home for some of us how tiny and insignificant we are in the greater scheme of the Universe. We're just a spec of dust at the edge of the Milky Way galaxy among millions of other galaxies.
Now THIS is what an eclipse should be! The masses being AWED by this incredible scientific phenomenon! All the negative publicity and fear mongering in the last few months was totally uncalled for!

We understand bro. We understand. If i was in the path of totality, I wouldve probably been moved to tears too. Here in Chicago , it was still quite amazing . The experience was very eerie though to say the least. The light became very dim and it got cold fast. Just an unbelievable experience all around.
I was totally paranoid/scared of hurting my vision I barely looked at it, even during totality. Maybe like 10-20 seconds. Kinda regret it now bc what I saw was beautiful. Still, seeing it get dark and the planets was awesome. My dad kept saying he could see some red dot, my mom too, but I couldn’t. It all looked black and yellow/white to me. What stood out to me was how bright it was even if only a tiny, tiny portion of the sun was showing. So yeah, full totality absolutely matters. I get it now. A partial eclipse just isnt anywhere near the same level. Well lessons learned for next time. See ya all in 20-21 years!
The Meteorologist's reaction was great, and I felt similarly. As for the editor... Not so great. 1:00 - "And we're in full totality now" while there is a video of a crescent sun on screen...
It was beyond explaining, this Phenomena impacted many hearts because many really felt the Power of our awesome God showing us that darkness cannot prevail over LIGHT!!
This was the most beautiful natural thing I have ever seen. My body was in a rush the whole time bk my brain has never processed something like this. Anyone who has never experienced this.... it was like looking at a majestic diamond in the sky. And the diamond rind at the end... oh my goodness
Solar eclipses may occur in totality or partially depending on places where viewers are situated... it's natural phenomenon ... and there is nothing to fear😊
Off course but at our root we are animals. I recall when I saw the eclipse in 2017. My mind was processing what I was seeing how and why it was happening, another part of my brain was absorbed by the beauty of the event and finally a part of me was unsettled by the 360 degree sunset, the sudden drop in temperature and seeming impenetrable silence that fell over us
I felt the same way after my first total solar eclipse in August 2017 when I was in Missouri. Now onward to 2026, 2027, and 2028!
That’s how much full totality matters. It doesn’t get dark if even a tiny, tiny sliver of the actual sun is showing. I totally get it now. My sis in Ohio was at 99.3% and it still didn’t get dark there like where I was with full totality
Zeus.. and the next eclipse in the USA actually isn’t that far off!! 2045!! From Seattle to Orlando.. it will go right over my hometown of Longmont, CO and current city Golden, CO at 100% totality

Can someone please explain to me why people are in awe and emotional about this. If not for the wisdow and beauty in the creator's handywork, what is inspiring about many random occurences that produced us and our world (with no inherent purpose or meaning)?
