    Hello,
    Thanks for all your great videos. I’m a chemical engineer studying PhD in United States. I just saw this video. You kept saying that you were wrong about extracting vanilla from bark of the trees. You are right! It is my PhD project what we are doing is extracting vanilla from bark of the trees. It is going be commercialized too!

    I saw your vids last night, and I liked it. Now, I am getting addicted to them. I understand English perfectly, but my weakness is to communicate with people. So, I usually talk to myself in English lol! But, I know it is not enough. Sigh! But, talking to people makes me nervous a lot. :(

    Hi, Drew, it is my luck to find videos like this, which help non native speakers learn some useful words, idioms and phrases. I would like very much to join this programm, but I have a question though to hold me back. I have noticed that you uploaded a lot of good videos on UA-cam, if I sign in, will I get new videos/mp3s or some of them are the same as here? Looking forward to your reply. Wish you a merry Christmas.

    I'm totally find understanding and having conversations with people in my university: professors, students, etc. But I completely suck in converstations with less educated marginal people, like maintenance or people on the streets. I just don't understand a word, especially when they have a strong accent. What would you recommend?

    In 11:32, I ead about the sample in a word RAW and it says " I prefer a raw to COOKED ones" ,,, i just wanna know if thats a correct grammar? Or should it says to COOK ones?... I'm still eager to learn english and base on the grammar lessons I've learned... The verb after the preposition TO verb, should be in a present form of the verb.

    • @lindachristinemallari2076
      @lindachristinemallari2076 9 років тому +2

      Hi bro Jhun! "Cooked" ones is correct. This word (which is not considered a verb in this statement) should be in a past tense form if it describes a noun. Example: Salted fish, Canned fruit, Dried beans. You are correct in saying that a verb after a preposition 'to' should be in present tense since it is acting as a verb in a particular statement. Example: TO LOVE and TO HOLD; We are TO BRING each other up; He has prepared for us TO DO good works. Galing naman, we admire your desire to learn! Go bro, just keep on learning and keep the questions coming, we are re-learning too!
