There’s definitely an idea of safe and trusted observation and escape from loneliness or feeling unsafe while maybe taking power away from things that make people feel less safe. We’re used to being observed to this level, but maybe it’s not from who or what we want. It seems like a contradiction, but people used to the spotlight probably like this one as much as people who wish they had very real and maybe excessive (and silly) attention from someone profoundly safe. I dunno. I hope that makes sense.
