It’s lovely to see that the couple used their cooker for the first time. I’ve just received this cooker as a present and I’m learning to use it to cook chicken. Thanks for sharing.
A good tip, I'm a chef and we use similar cooking ovens which slow cook meats 🍖, If you do pork like this again, put it under a hot grill to crisp the rind up
Love your accents, could listen to it all day ☺ & were all new to this game with a new model, so all credit to ya's I've watched a few of yours now & came out trumps wenti tried copying, keep up the good work: & thank you both, by the way i have the pressure King Pro & mine hasn't the same programs as yours, mine is a drew & Cole not sure if that's why 😊 👌👍
Brilliant guys, had a pro for over a year and not switched it on yet as the directions were naff and didn't want to just press buttons lol, now I can try it out.. 😉
Canning btw i think means when you want to do preserves like canning some plum tomatoes in a jar, u stick the stuff in a jar put the canning lid on stick it in the machine and it pressurizes the can so the lid snaps in or something like that. With a bit of water in the bottom of the thing then the jar with stuff in and the lid on but not sealed and the canning process snaps the lid on kinda thing.
Good tip for you guys - buy slow cooker liners, put some beef in it and loosely time it closed with a drinking straw, fill water inside the pot but not in the bag. Keep the opening of the bag above the water - I use a trivet for this. The benefit of this is that the meat cooks in its own juices and there's no cleanup!
Thanks Stewart. I was thinking of a similar thing for chicken where you can buy the cook in the bag ones. Never heard of slow cooker liners before. I'll check them out
Looks so much safer and easier to use than the old fashioned stove top pressure cookers people used to use. I bet once you get used to using it you will use it a few times a week. How fab to be able to reduce cooking times. X
Could be a idea to brown it first before putting in the pressure cooker, as when raw it wont go all over as much as when it was cooked and soft and falling apart. Like how cooking shows say brown the meat before slow cooker stuff etc. Looks nice tho the pork after done and all the fat removed. Personally i wouldnt like a pressure cooker, might do stuff quick but id not like the pressure steam escaping bit incase i mess up lol and scolds me. Slow cooker does me personally. Anyhow nice to see yas, u looked like u were having fun with ur new gadget. Cya in the new vid.
To be honest as long as you follow the cooking instructions it's pretty much idiot-proof and you wear gloves or something protective to open the steam nozzle to release the steam but the lid will not release when it is under pressure so it's got some good safety features on it
Canning is what the Americans call bottling - preserving fruit etc in Kilners 😊 I have a Halogen I was given, it's fabulous. I also used a Prestige Hi-Dome pressure cooker for years. I've now got one of these thingies and I'm too scared to unpack it! - I was the same with the Hi Dome , first time I used that I set it going scooted out of the kitchen and watched it round the door-jamb! 🤣🤣🤣 😂😂
The pork looks delicious and well cooked . The only problem I have is i love my crackling. I have done many casseroles in my pressure king and they always come out so tasty. I live on my own so 1 cook dies me 3 or 4 days, really economical way to cook, No going back from this one.
I'm no master chef but I'm assuming after cooking you could still in a pre heated oven for a short while to crisp it off. Other ppl may have a better idea. Keep it up though. Keeps your costs down, especially when living on your own.
Just picked up a brand new one still boxed from a charity shop for just a tenner I've had stews in it I'm not really into boiled meat personally it turns it rubbery but still if you pan fry it first you'll achieve the golden look before you steam cook it
The one I have doesn't say canning but says Browning instead and it seems to be a pre boiling program. Also the only program you can do without the lid on. But only lasts 3 minutes at a time.
I have a feeling canning might off been on earlier versions or overseas versions. Just a guess. I would image browning will only last 3 mins as its for just browning the meat off like a frying pan, before selecting another cooking option
@@TheWrightTimes Thank you for the reply, I'm new to pressure cooking and got this PkP 5.7l. I was just wondering how do you know how long to cook chicken or beef etc for?
Its odd as theres a few different types as i googled this product and on amazon that one says browning instead of canning which would have been good to brown the meat for u with ur meat dishes and probs more useful than the canning function unless you plan to do alot of canning.
Hmm ive looked at a few utube vids, they seem to use the stew function with the lid off to brown the meat before switching to meat mode and using the top. Maybe if that works for u u can try and do a vid to see if it sears a nice steak or something next time?
I have the 5 ltr model, it is 2 years old and where yours says "canning", mine says "browning" and I use this for softening onions with a little oil without the lid on. It times out in 3 minutes. One of the best cooking appliances I have ever bought and great for stews. The slow cook function is also amazing. Good luck.

It would have cooked in less than an hour .. and it doesn't crisp up in the king pro .. nothing does . And it makes a lot of liq itself . I only use a cup of water unless I'm making a stew
Hi. Just bought a king pro 5 litre. When I unboxed it I have noticed the release valve does not have a open /closed sticker on like yours does? I have looked at other adverts and they have the same do you think I should take it back. Many thanks .
hi got one of those last xmas, cooking chickin tonight set for 13 m went to sort bath came down and steam was stronly coming out hole on rh side noticed its just a hole not right is it help
I can't think what hole you mean. Only things I can think of is the lid wasn't on properly and locked in place, or the pressure valve on the top was in the wrong position

Mine doesn’t have any stickers either so really difficult to tell if it’s in the open or closed position with it being all black. Bit scared of using it but am trying a stew now.
If it's closed it will hiss a bit for a moment or 2 then stop. If it's open you'll have steam coming out non stop until liquid runs out. Be careful if you try to close it. Use a cloth and protect your hands

Stop being lazy and clean it. Those liners add to the planets pollution problem.
